Giving these characters backstory just makes it sadder that they’re dead in canon lol. Kendo in reality, blew his head off a bit too early to be able to hear that radio. Katherine wasn’t able to get the knife in time to defend herself, dying like a doll. The forgotten soldier, not even a name or a face, but I guess that’s the point. Whether he died or survived his first encounter with Birkin, he’s just a nameless grunt, dying to someone who had a much bigger influence on the story. And of course Sheriff Daniel. Just doing his job, with no idea what kind of monsters he was up against. Maybe if he was a bit more prepared, but sadly, Leon didn’t get their in time to save him like what could have been

I would say the soldier would have had a big impact as he recovered the g sample and unlike the other grunts completed the mission. But yeah sad he died.
The mayor’s daughter’s campaign ending was a tear jerker. You see them run away together, both free from Chief Irons and the monsters, *but only in the afterlife.*

Marvin should have gotten a DLC. It should start off with a normal night at the police station, first incoming call of attack, defending police station from hoards of zombies, locking up stuff and (maybe) add in him being bitten and ending where he sees Leon OR Claire. Notice what Kendo wears is called "Alice Webgear" which further indicates that Kendo was a "Soldier" back then, makes sense that the US Army has issued Alice Webgears to each troop's a while back during the late 80s/Early 90's And it's easy to assume that he served through Grenada then Panama and Desert Storm.

He isn't dead in this universe. He's only dead in the MAIN universe, where he gets killed by infected William Birkin waaay back in the Arklay Mansion. The helmet just seems to be a metaphor for dead people but he isn't dead.
@@aiden5207 I found out that if you play it on normal mode, the achievement you get clears it up pretty well that he's alive :) So yay, he actually didn't get killed off

This is an extremely AU PLOT for the three I’ll talk about
Daniel after being separated from Leon & Claire wander around Raccoon City fighting against zombies and zombie dogs.
After getting to the Police Department he meets Katherine (who escaped Irons but didn’t kill him) on her way to meet with Ben.
They then rescue Ben from the jail cell with the help of Leon just before Mr X splits Leon and the other three up.
After being attacked by poison Zombies and pale heads the three are saved by Kendo who who talks about escaping Raccoon City in a helicopter piloted by an old friend.
Travelling through the sewers they encounter Birkin in second form attacking Leon and activate the crane to defeat Birkin.
Leon then thanks them, heads deeper into the Sewers (Continues as normal)
while Robert, Ben, Katherine And Daniel Escape Raccoon City.l
This is a movie I'd like to see, wow.

This nonlinear gameplay won't be bad. This reminds me of Black Ops 2 where the player's choices results in certain characters living or dying and ultimately choosing what kind of ending.
It's actually pretty tragic how some of these deaths had to happen for the main story to progress. Kendo's death motivated Leon, and if the mayor's daughter had killed Irons, then he wouldn't have kidnapped Sherry, then Claire wouldn't have gotten the parking keycard, then everyone would probably die when the city was nuked

@@hustler666100 Sorry, been about 6 months since I last played, but I'll try to remember. So when Irons kidnaps Shelly, he leaves the elevator to his office open, and that's where Claire gets the parking pass. If Irons had died before that, he couldn't have left his office open, and Claire+Shelly would've had to find a different way out, one that for all we know might not exist. I hope that makes sense!

At first I wondered why it was called ghost survivors but after learning the stories of these characters from the main timeline, the feels went up. They're called ghost survivors because of "what if"

@@demdankmemes6247 I honestly hope there are no more ghost survivors. I understand its free, but I personally would rather Capcom pool their time and resources into a real lengthy, paid DLC, maybe a full story expansion of the events after the mansion incident and leading up to the events of RE3.
It would be a perfect opportunity at the end of the DLC to leave it open ended with a reveal of Jill deciding to leave her apartment with a date of RE3 remake release.

I really hope other developers and publishers take note of what Capcom is doing, because its probably one of the few positive moves in the gaming industry to happen for a while now.
i mean they really fucked up with resident evil 5 and 6 and got a pretty big backlash and had to explain the situation to their shareholders as well because of the poor sales. They did good with the remakes for sure, but new good IP would be better still.

Alternate timeline of characters' chronicle stories but sad is they all dead in actual main story, that's why call: GHOST SURVIVALS.
And one of the characters is nicknamed Ghost, spooky.
Even if the soldier is escaped. He would be killed by the mercenary
Nah, he survived afterward if you get him to the tram. Ada threatens him for the G-virus sample, but she doesn't kill him. You can tell from the achievement, "The ghost who lived" which is what you get after you complete the forgotten soldier scenario. Further evidence would be his helmet. When Ada points the gun at him he has his helmet on. After the clip is done, you see the helmet discarded on the floor next to where the tram had been. The soldier would have lived if this scenario had come to be.

Though keep in mind, the dlc's are "what if" stories. Meaning the reality of the matter, none of these characters survive. Still, I hope Capcom see's theories and ideas like this. It could make the forgotten soldier a legitimate character, and give an origin to the agent of Res 6. Would be an awesome backstory, and would certainly give meaning to the achievement "Ghost who lived."

I like how the survivors keep taking the sewers, rather than going topside in the city they're supposed to live in, and therefore know.
The streets are crawling with zombies, trigger-happy UBCS soldiers, and Christ knows what else. Logically, the sewers should be deserted.
Unfortunately, this is Resident Evil. Logic doesn’t always win out over plot.

I feel like had they done just a sliver of voice acting for these modes it would have gone a long way. As it stands they feel empty. Almost like fan-made stories. I get that they're non-canon, but still, it would have been nice to have them say literally *anything.*

No the ones in the dlc are just mutated infected, it states that in the beginning of the mission
Isn't that the basic concept behind the mini-tyrants? They were once normal zombies and then began to mutate into tyrants.
However they are mini regenerators. Sure they are mutated zombies but have they properties of a regenerator. The only real difference besides looks is that they can be killed with special ammo

Kendo’s Daughter: zombie bite, later shot by her father behind Kendo’s Gun Shop.
Ben Bertolucci: Head crushed by T103 Tyrant in the jail cells underneath the RPD.
Katherine Warren: Seen dead in Chief Irons’ office at the orphanage.
Marvin Branagh: Bitten by zombified Brad, later succumbed to his own wounds in the main hall of the police station.
Brad Vickers: Infected in the remake outside of Jill’s apartment. In the original he was killed by Nemesis in the courtyard of the RPD.
Chief Irons: Infected with g, chestbursted at the orphanage.
Sheriff Daniel Cortini: Gets his throat torn out by a zombie at the gas station.
Ghost: Left to the zombies by Ada at the entrance of NEST.
Basically the characters you played as in the dlc are all dead except for HUNK.

@@firstname4066I think that's a different soldier. If the soldier was killed by birkin, how did he survive birkin in the what if? I mean Ada Wong was present in the what if. In the main timeline, the soldier was with the other soldiers known as the USS sent by umbrella to retrieve the sample from Birkin and Ada Wong is not present in that moment yet. So basically this soldier is another member of USS but was sent secretly to retrieve the sample in case the other USS members failed.
Hey everyone! Just so you know, all of these were done on training difficulty, where you get extra supplies and such at the beginning of the scenario. Otherwise, item/enemy placement are all the same. So, if you're trying this on standard difficulty, this will be a little more difficult, due to less supplies, but the route stays the same!
Now we need a RE Outbreak: File 3 with this new Resident evil engine and I will be so happy

Could you imagine if these stories that will never see the light of day happened. Irons dies early. Leon and Daniel fight together, who knows what would happened to Claire. And agent "Ghost" * don't know if I should call him agent, just throwing it in there for reasons* . getting out classed by Ada at the last minute.
I feel like Ghost’s storyline for his alternate is that he actually does survive because he seems to make a random appearance as a playable character with ADA in Resident Evil 6 when you play Co-Op and in mercenaries. It seems to make sense
This is a what if scanario in canon ghost and other USS soilders expect hunk died when they were attacked by William hunk was the only one who survived

That hits so much harder when you see how these characters end up perishing in the game.
These DLC ghost mode is top notch and turned to perfection. I even had a blast yesterday on those modes.
That cop's playthrough really hit me, he could survive and continue with Leon. Alternate realities both enjoyable and hurt.
Enjoyable because we can get to see how things could have been different.
Hurt because it never happened.

I know they said it's non canon, but I still think I kind of want to still think of Kendo's scenario as up in the air. I thought it was a lot more powerful when that one shot was left ambiguous, rather than just flat out saying that he shot himself.
I mean, there's no real reason not to think it could have happened anyways is there? Him possibly living as a retcon doesn't really contradict anything. Unlike the other three who are pretty much confirmed dead in the main scenario itself.
Pretty cool alternates, specially the "walking dead" one. I agree tho Marving should of have had a story as well to complete the full circle.

@18:30, this is one of those RE moments where 99% of the players will do the least productive thing while 1% will do something efficient.
Most people goes toward the item distributor slowly and walk around. The trick to that part is to rush toward the bus while avoiding the candy distributor (initially) and flame the crap out of the zombies while they are IN the bus. (There might be 1-2 that are able to step outside by the time you reach it.)
There are 2 things about why this is better.
A) They did implement a "Wet" system that considerably reduce fire damage and burning duration while under the rain. This make you waste a lot more fuel/zombies if the zombies are under the rain.
B) A dry zombie getting on fire can put another zombie close to it also on fire. Not so much with wet zombies. The key at that point is that most of the zombie are within the bus and doesn't have the "wet" state yet hence that 100 fuel canister you initially got is plenty to kill all that group in a dominoes fashion.
This, afterward, allow you an easier choice as to what item to gain from the item distributor.
Notice at 41:44 the cop hasn't anymore his hat but the shadow on the wall still has.
TAKES LEON 2 WEEKS takes some 4 survuvors 10 mins

I kind of wish these were the new canon... but I'm glad at least we got to see these people one more time. Kendo especially. It's weird how he was just a one-off character as well, but his weapons helped the S.T.A.R.S. team survive. Well, almost all of them anyway.

La ruta de Kendo es la única que podría ser canon, ya que no cambia nada a la historia, además que esto es mas bien una segunda parte de la escena con la hija. Realmente es una vergüenza que Capcom no haya dado mas historias a estos personajes, son incluso mas interesantes que los propios protagonistas.

@@Engels_99 Entiendo tu punto, pero fácilmente Capcom pudo haber sacado mas dlc para este juego, realmente me sorprende que ya no sacaran mas dlc, Ghost Survivors es un mini juego difícil pero divertido, pero hubieran puesto mas trasfondo en los personajes, especialmente Robert Kendo, su escenario no es nada nuevo pero con solo escuchar la música de este personaje te da entender que es una persona que ayudaría a los ciudadanos, lo mismo con su familia y su hija, muy heroico y épico. (donde hay música parecida a esta xd ?)

Rebecca, Jill, Chris, Barry, Wesker, Leon, Ada, Claire, Sherry, Hunk... that's more than 4 survivors to escape Raccoon between RE0 to RE3. Billy, Carlos, and Nikolai seem like really good candidates for ghost survivors.
REmake 3 has been in development alongside REmake 2 for a while, if you believe the leaks. Considering how well their last two games sold, I'm betting that Capcom is remaking the main series at least up to 4, which will probably be more of a remaster.

So, in this alternate universe:
Kendo was rescued by Barry Burton and evacuated from Raccoon City. It has to be Barry because A) Barry has a helicopter and B) he's one of the Kendo gun shops most loyal customers. If it's anybody, it's Barry. Maybe in this universe Kendo makes a Magnum out of a box of scraps and tosses it to Jill to use against the Nemesis (as opposed to finding it on the ground).
Katherine and Ben make it out somehow. After all, what's the point of a 'what if they survived this' scenario if they just die slightly later? Maybe, as one comment here has speculated, they hook up with the Outbreak cast. Maybe they take turns servicing a USS helicopter pilot until he agrees to give them a lift. Who knows?
Ghost is forced to give up the G-sample to Ada and (since we have to have some excuse for how he survived and escaped) finds himself forcibly conscripted as Ada's partner. Over the years that followed, he would be known only as 'Agent'. Maybe something else happens, I don't really care bout Ghost, so I can't really think of anything for him.
Daniel takes Claire's place in the plot of RE2. Between the arsenal he racked up over the course of the gas station siege, and sheer 'buddy cop' chemistry between him and Leon, nothing in their way stood a chance. They were delayed some in getting to the parking garage, however, because Ben took the key-card with him.
Claire rode up to a gas station that was filled with dozens upon dozens of brutally murdered corpses. Given the choice between getting the hell out of there, or heading into Raccoon City, she chose the second option (because Resident Evil protagonists tend to be dumb-asses). Her fate following this ill-conceived choice is unknown. Probably eaten by zombies.
What I want to know is, where's the Truck Driver scenario? What if the Truck Driver was immune to the virus? What if he stayed conscious enough to throw himself out of the truck before it crashed and exploded? Where would he go from there? These are important questions that need answering.

I don’t think claire would be eaten. She survived her route mostly alone, and she would probably meet leon sooner or later.
Claire's main reason why she went to raccoon city was to find her brother. So yes she's a sister of S.T.A.R.S and she knows how to survive by herself only her story would be different if these ghost survivors actually lived
@@jayehdee The main reason I added the part where Claire gets killed was as a sort of jokey 'symmetry'. Like, if these people lived, then at least one of the actual main characters has to die to 'balance the scales'.
Leon is already partnered up with Daniel, so Claire's the odd one out.
They should’ve made a Marvin one, I don’t know how to tackle this but there’s two ways this could’ve went about.
1.) He is healed/cured from his injuries, thus running into Leon every so forth in the Police Station, sometimes Leon helps clear zombies for you similar to how Carlos helps Jill in Resident Evil 3, dealing with the zombies and Mr. X himself, and successfully left with Leon, Claire, and Sherry. But the story would have to be short somehow since this scenario might be the longest one out of the others due to it being similar to Claire & Leon’s story
2.) This could take place way before he gets injured, this one is a little hard to figure out because it could go so many ways from here, but this is what I got so far. Marvin successfully doesn’t get injured by zombies unless you let him obviously, he gets a report that the helicopter is outside in a certain area but he has to get there, Leon pops in somewhere in this scenario, gives Leon the 411, BOOM. Marvin finds his way out blah blah blah idk it could go so many ways

It's likely that the nameless soldier, Ghost, was killed by Ada in order to keep her existence (and ultimately Wesker's survival) a secret from Umbrella. Even if Ghost didn't know who she was, Umbrella still had the resources to eventually find Ada if they became aware of her existence. Ada Wong's greatest strength is her ability to stay under the radar, while letting so-called heroes and villains take the spotlight.
Totally especially when you consider that Ada has NEVER killed any other playable character in the entire series makes a lot of sense.She Robbed him of the G virus the same way she Robbed Leon of the Plagas sample Ada works for Tricell under Albert Wesker, since he didn't actually die in RE and went on to work for Tricell.
I think he does survive cause in the ending we get to see him handing over the G virus sample to ada and we get to see his gas mask empty which could potentially mean he just throwed it off and escaped with ada
