    You should have talked about how your bike should be set up correctly. Like having your handle bars at the right height if you bar are to low you will be over the front end of the bike more which will be really hard to get ot up. And talk about rear tire placement.

    • @MikeFede
      @MikeFede  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought about it but I figured that wasn’t as important of a factor. When I get on someone else’s bike I don’t make those adjustments, I compensate for the setup. All in all, I came to the conclusion that learning and adapting to what you ride and the surface is key. Thanks for the comment and the support 🤙🏽

    @Mike Fede I can wheelie hundreds of feet on my mountain bike. Can't wheelie a BMX or my dirt jump bike for nothin. So, I've been working on manuals on my DJ bike, for pump tracks. How much do you use your rear brake in a manual? Seems like not at all! I use my rear brake a TON in wheelies,to not go too far past balance point. I've been using my rear brake in manuals, but seems counter-productive for use on a pump track.
    So, are you not touching your brakes in a manual? I think that Im going wrong with using my brake to control the attitude of my bike. Its all in shifting my weight, right? Thanks for the videos! They're great!

      Intentionally loop out a million times going slow. Get used to learning how to catch yourself. If you get Manuals down good enough where you can maintain at a faster speed, don’t try and hand onto the bike at first when looping out going faster, let it go, it will drag you down to your knees. Learning how to loop out is key at first, way before learning the manual. After you learn them you will hit a point where you can go til the bike stops rolling without coming even coming close to looping out. Once you get used to that sweet spot you lock
      Right in every time

    Do you recommend using the back break when learning to manual? I have been but my progress has been slow. Jumping of the back is good, but sometimes you get stuck on there and can't hop off in time, especially when fighting to balance.

      Maybe try to use no break for a while and focus on something in the distance to take the focus on pulling so hard. Keep trying. You got it! 🤙🏽

      Colby Johnson it just takes a lot of practice and patience. Use your legs to pump you while you’re pulling back.

    Nice vid Mike! Couple questions what tire pressure and are your bars cut to a certian length?

    • @MikeFede
      @MikeFede  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hans yolo thanks! Usually I run no less than 75 psi in the front and rear. Most sessions I run 90 psi in the rear and 80 in the front. It all depends on what I’m riding. I run my bars uncut at 30.
