Did you adopt huck recently? I have been watching for awhile but due to work and headaches I haven't been online much. I love collies, we had a big purebred collie named Brandy growing up, she was absolutely beautiful and the best dog ever.
We run a wildlife rescue now, but when the time is right I would love to get another collie

Scary incident. In 1994, my husband and I struggled to pull off a Hwy. in Louisiana one night after spotting a black guy in a white shirt drenched in blood. It looked as if he’d been run over while walking down the Hwy. Each of us were driving a brand new box type ambulances from Kissimmee Fl to Klamath Falls Oregon. (The radios had not yet been connected so I just kept following my husband closely all the way home to Oregon).Once stopped and were discussing what to do about the injured or dead guy, we heard what sounded like a mud flap slapping the asphalt from a passing vehicle. Suddenly, 3 men ran under a street light, running straight toward us including the black guy in a phony bloody shirt. We barely had time to jump back in our rigs and escape to stop in the next town to inform the police. Truckers NEVER trust and stop! 😮😢❤ God bless

I am so sorry for your loss & the pain of when family holidays come around & people you loved or knew are no longer there physically. But, I bet she was there in spirit. Still, it's ok to feel sad & cry. I am sure your dogs loved their presents & you delighted in that.
Know there are others just like you at these times. To me, Christmas was just another day too, the pain runs deep, as well as memories. But, I always try to do 1 kind thing for a stranger, like bringing a coat, gloves, and hats to a homeless person a street corner out in the cold holding a sign. Stuff like that. Their eyes lights up and their smile is the best Christmas present to me. I get sad too, but if I can help lessen someone else sadness in some way, it makes the day special.

The memory of truckers is a treasure. In a trucker's memory there is a whole series of information about the country, the roads, the tracks, the towns and villages, about people… that the truck passes through, and so on. In other words, it's a very, very important memory. When I listen to programmes about truckers with amnesia, I always get the feeling that “someone or something” has stolen the driver's memory, literally. It's just a feeling I get. Because a trucker's memory isn't like ours, the information is different, it embeds in the road veins of an entire country. It is just a feeling I have. It's a very amazing subject. Same when they disappear. Truckers are so important, in fact they are vital. How fascinating is this subject.

As a trucker married to a fellow trucker.....both no longer driving, but these are very close to my heart. I don't know of any missing truckers. Being in a cab most of the working hours, you a completly comfortable and there's no thought that you could go missing. And if a trucker does go missing it is a clear belief that it's due to foul play.

Let me clarify a bit, I don't have grand mals, I have absence and a few other types, they have changed since he first noticed them. We both miss driving, but I now have two grandbabies and I want to be close as possible to them. They are my everything along with my 4 adult kids and my wonderful husband. I worked in tomato packing sheds for 3 seasons as a forklift operator, not only did we load trucks but box cars as well for train deliveries, from the very beginning of operation of a forklift, we're instructed to honk the horn on every entry and every exit of which ever container is being loaded or off loaded, there's so much activity going on that we did every thing possible to eliminate hitting someone or something....the fact that truck went thru that part of Arizona and New Mexico especially has got my attention also, also I live only about 20 miles from the first disappearance of the truck driver on I-5 and the Delta canal a few yrs back... Another strange one....

What an especially horrifying incident, and terrible loss of life for Sheila. Sending sad condolences to her husband, wherever he is now. That 4PM major disappearance time is weird. It's the time of day when my energy is at its lowest ebb----I often just "conk out" right around 3:30pm-4:00pm for a nap. Like it's impossible to keep my eyes open. And, at the times when I can't and have to push through it---ugh. Thank you for raising awareness in so many areas.

Once with my husband, he had a load of meat to be processed for dog food. (Very gross) In Los Angeles, we had to go to a creepy part of town to deliver in an area where unprocessed raw meat was delivered.
This area was very creepy. It felt worse than skid row. I sat in the locked cab with the solid steel tire thumper in my hands.
He did not dock. It was a street forklift delivery. Stinky gross creepy area.

As interesting as this is, we’re creating a mystery, out of a tragic accident. It’s entirely plausible, that she was walking between pallets, and was literally pushed into the trailer. How deep was she, in the container? She could have been walking by the dock, assuming the driver would stop, but that didn’t happen, as she wasn’t seen. As far as “knowing” the distance between pallets, had she slid a bit higher than the 8” pallet height, she would then be caught between the containers (known as Gaylords,) and the 10” - 12” (especially in light of the fact that she suffocated, meaning she was *packed* in there) of her sideways body, would be virtually undetectable. These containers, aren’t loaded one-by-one. They are often double-stacked, making seeing anything in front of you impossible, hence the driving backward, at all times, except loading. A distribution center like Dole, is *very* fast moving, and *very* noisy. It’s a tragedy, but it’s nothing more than a terrible accident. Rest in Peace, Sheila. FYI I worked as a loader for over 40 years, so my analysis, isn’t mere speculation. It’s based upon scores of incidents that I have witnessed over the years.

If the cause the police say happened were true, they could find out easily who loaded that trailer at that facility! I’ve been loading trailers 18 years and whoever loads the trailer signs the paperwork in case there are any issues with the trailer in route or at the destination, such as pallets falling over not being secured properly and such… the loaders signature on the paperwork is also representative of the loader being confident the freight was loaded properly!

  • @NyxinOwl
    @NyxinOwl 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +42

You would think Sheila would be savvy to the loading and unloading dynamics of that facility to not get scooped up by a fork lift. One would also think that other injures would be present if that was the cause of death/suffocation via forklift smothering. Lastly, wasn't it stated that Shelia took the Cargo manifest to the dock supervisor? Did she do that? Did they receive the documents? Just curious if someone signed off on that shipment.

Dave, I have a question. I have a hunch about an unsolved case that took place in Thorntown Indiana of a little girl who was abducted 1986. My husband and I bought the home of a well known life long resident. That home had a new addition and basement dug around the same time the girl went missing. They didn’t have building permits so there is no exact date to my knowledge. But they strangely took much of the dirt from digging the new basement and hauled it into the old one and made the walls about six feet thick, sealing them up with concrete. The house was very well built and sound, zero foundation issues, and the man was very wealthy and would have had the money to relocate the soil. The nearly eight years we lived in that house I had such a weird but strong feeling that little girl was in the basement. How insane would I sound if I called and shared my hunch? I have no proof other than a weird basement and uncanny timing.

I highly doubt that & you shouldn’t be accusing people of murder on a “hunch” based on zero evidence. If the investigators didn’t figure it out you’re definitely not going to do so by wildly speculating. The person you’re referring to could sue you for defamation for saying such things. There’s a big TikTok drama going on right now where a “psychic” lady is being sued for exactly that. People shouldn’t go making accusations on a “feeling”. Gullible people might actually believe it & it could damage the reputations of anyone accused or associated with the situation in any way. Not to mention it draws attention & resources away from actual leads based on actual evidence. There could be a clue sitting in evidence that investigators could be distracted from in order to investigate your random claims. Calling with scenarios you’ve imagined up isn’t helpful to the investigation, nor is it respectful to the victim or family. Just causes unnecessary stress on the family when they hear all the wild theories people come up with.

@@brightpurplevikingWhat does being a famous or political figure have to do with anything? You can be sued for defamation by anyone, and you can lose.

All of a sudden, the woods grow quiet, not a sound to be heard. Then a group looks up over a ridge and all see a huge moose not moving. Still like a statue. EERIE! The moose stood still with the friends in the camper looking at it as they left. Something strange and maybe dangerous is going on in our national parks! Thanks for the upload.

I am from YUMA ARIZONA, I trained in Phoenix at AIT and was the first woman to Train as a Female truck Driver at AIT on the Arizona State Compensation Program. I have always been proud of my Career and now I am exceptionally proud of my daughter ! I have a brother who lives one mile from the Dole Processing plant. It is not normally a dangerous place but strange things happen every day in the world of Trucking! My Prayers are with this young woman's family. I hope things turn out well. Love this trucker series Dave!, makes me think of an episode I had driving home from work on the turnpike in Pennsylvania. ( Jim Thorpe to Allentown). I was in the company wheelchair van ( I work for a hospital here driving cancer patients to their treatment appointments). It was around 4pm, and I remember the ringing in my ears kinda changing ( I have tinnitus), and a pain in the back of my neck. I was thinking about my mom and couldn’t remember how old she was, so I thought well, she was born in……couldn’t remember the year, then thought about my age (64), couldn’t remember that!. Looked up and saw a sign and didn’t recognize the names on the exit. Couldn’t remember where I was going, where I lived….NOTHING!. For some reason the name Sam popped in my head and I thought “ I work for her, she is my supervisor!”. So I looked in my phone, found her and called her. I explained what was happening and luckily the vehicles have trackers on them. She saw where I was ( I had pulled over), and gave me the address of the nearest hospital which I put in the gps and then drove there. They ran tests, asked me lots of questions and not finding anything wrong medically, released me. I had someone come pick me up( things started coming back to me a few hours later). The next day my memory was back, but, let me tell you….that was REALLY scary!. Watching this series makes me ask “ what if something was trying to control me and failed, or, was “ marking” me for a later time!”…..just a thought….

Not to be argumentative, but as a truck driver and forklift operator for many years now it is not hard to crush somone behind a pallet in those trailers. Yes, you might feel resistance and leave a larger gap, but when loading a trailer you tend to drag the floor as your setting down and resistance is common. The larger gap is also commonm and an operator gets used to it and usually learns to leave the gap and push it up with the next pallet if needed. Those trailers are dark inside and visibility is a constant issue.
Determining factor would be almost solely based on body position and damage relation to both the body and materials around it.

Dave, this new series on missing truck drivers is so interesting. It is a shame that more people can't think outside the box and believe that there is other life forms out there. I wonder if there will ever be a day when we interact on a regular and friendly basis with those life forms. Also, I mentioned this next thought to my husband and he said I was getting pretty deep. I wonder if maybe in four or five hundred, or however many, more years, 1000? we (humans) will be advanced as the "Aliens" are? Maybe they were like us 1000 years ago and have advanced to where they are now.

Have you ever considered taking the month and age of the missing truckers and looked to see if something significant happened in that state during that month and used the age as a year? Example if a person came up missing in the month of January who was 53 years old and came up missing in Idaho, what kind of significant event happened in January in 1953 in Idaho? I’m driving and had to pull over to make this comment. I think it’d be worth a little research into just for curiosity sake if I were looking into this. Also add the area they came up missing from and found in
