The best Chinese I've ever had was from a hole in the wall dirty shack in NYC. We paid 20 bucks per person and had enough food to have a days worth of leftovers. If some one asks you to put on pants to go to a restaurant, its not a place you wanna be .

@@peeeepthis Lots of expensive restaurants and private clubs have dress codes so need to have options on standby in case people don't know/forget. But it also helps give them an excuse to turn people away they don't want. Not saying its right - just the way it is.

Out of these kind of restaurants the only one I rate is Dishoom. The lamb chops, masala prawns and house chaat are unbelievable levels, genuinely.

London offers a lot of variety but the quality is often lacking. People pay a premium for sub-par edible products with lots of bad corporate karma.
