I just put $15 for unbudget a side every paycheck let it build up to $300 dollars for any unbudgeted & unexpected some times I have to dip in it cause I just received a unexpected medical bill of 400 so I took 50 from unbudgeted this month

Hey Jenika!! It sounds weird but it's a good thing to budget for Unbudgeted things, mainly because those things that come up unexpectedly have to get paid or you have to take an unexpexted trip somewhere for any reason...now in our envelopes we only budget what our checks allow us to budget so you can only put so much in each envelope, so if you start including Unbudgeted in your stuffings that Unbudgeted envelope gives you a little more wiggle room to have that extra cash on the side for things that come unexpectedly. How many times do we say "I did not budget for this" and we start stressing over some things, budgeting for those unbudgeted things allows you to say "Man this came up unexpectedly but at least I had funds on the side building up for this moment." I know I said a lot but hopefully I could help you out lol.

I work at Amazon and try not to ever wait too long when you dealing with Amazon because what happened to your package is more than likely the label got lost on your package and it was probably sitting up in the warehouse somewhere. I work in problem solve in Amazon and it happens all the time. I’m so sorry you experienced that. But look on the bright side you got your money back and your getting a better one. Things don’t just happen they happen for a reason and a lot of time it’s for the best. I certainly hope you keep pushing out this amazing content no matter what and staying positive.
Can you define what an O spend day is? What if you don’t spend anything on eating out or anything like that but you had to spend on something you had already had a sinking fund for?
I have a miscellaneous category, a personal category, and a spending category. So, if it's a personal item I use that category, more needed for an item budgeted already I use spending and an unexpected item I use miscellaneous - they each get $10 per pay period (2x monthly)
Hey! I just subscribed about a month ago and have been binge watching your whole journey and just caught up! I use my buffer for unbudgeted expenses and I budget for them from rollover money from checks and envelopes. Also I know you have a cricut for the custom envelopes but you can also use the cricut for cutting stickers. I use mine for that. I make it on canva transfer to cricut space and make it the correct dimensions then print and cut. Has worked perfectly for me.
Jenika my January going ok so far I found out I got a raise at work but all these extra deductions leave me less vs what I was getting they (hr) so disrespectful 🤣🤣
@ros- hopefully you’ll get back some of what your extra deductions are back at tax time next year. Jumping into a new tax bracket can be quite a change!
I don’t have a buffer envelope but I do think I should add one in for the rollover or just get a roll over envelope. I don’t really use trackers do you think it’s necessary??

I was in the red for beauty budgeted $140 cause the starting price was $ 138 as in ( we will collect $138 at the time of service) & it was $150
Set aside whatever you can and keep track of those expenses so you can save an average of those unexpected expenses.
