The Horizon T101 is an affordable walking treadmill. It is the entry point into Horizon’s Go Series line of treadmills which offer compact, low-tech designs that pair well with third-party content. However, the Horizon T101 does not require any ongoing subscription to access all of its features.
The Horizon T101 has a speed range of 0.5 to 10 mph and a maximum incline of 10%. It performs best as a walking treadmill but should also work for users occasionally running or adding short, fast intervals into their walking routine.
Horizon offers a lifetime warranty on the T101’s frame and motor, which is rare for any treadmill but nearly unheard of at the T101’s low price. The motor is a 2.5HP motor best suited to regular walking or occasional, low-mileage running. The T101 is built on a compact folding frame which would fit well in small spaces.
The treadmill deck is a nice size, measuring 20 inches wide by 55 inches long. Walkers should have plenty of room to lengthen their stride. The deck is just over 7 inches tall, which is great for users who have mobility concerns due to low knee or hip range of motion.
The deck feels firm underfoot and uses Horizon’s 3 Zone Variable Response Cushioning. These zones are very subtle. The front zone cushions your impact while the middle and rear zones grow firmer to provide a stable platform for pushing off.
The T101 has an intuitive console with plenty of buttons for controlling the treadmill and accessing the built-in training programs. The T101 also has speed and incline dials for quickly adjusting these settings to keep up with third-party training content.

I love my T101. I was over 300 lbs when I started my walking journey and I’m down 28 lbs. for me it’s a good investment

How do I adjust from program to a different program without the + or - symbols

The blue dials allow you to scroll through the built-in programs.

Would it work for me if I run about 3k 3 to 4 times a week?

@@Jay-ez5wq It's doable, but I would strongly recommend the Horizon 7.0 AT for running. It's sturdier, and it will hold up better under your intended use.

In addition to thanking you for your very good explanations, I had a question from you, and that is whether this treadmill can be a good option for the blind, do the control keys have good accessibility for a blind person, thank you for your answer.

The dial adjustments may be helpful, but the buttons are not tactile. I would not consider the console very accessible overall.

I am an outdoor runner, looking for my first treadmill. I'm 5'5"... what makes this a treadmill for "walkers" and not runners? Please explain! Thank you!

The motor is not as powerful and the deck is shorter than we prefer for running. Depending on your running stride, you might feel like you are running out of room.

The water bottle placment is flat. Will the bottle shake a lot if you are jogging?

It may shake some, but we have not had anything fall over or out of the cup holder area.

hi! my treadmill keeps changing the speed on its own. do you know how i can change this setting?

    • @BestTreadmillReviews
      @BestTreadmillReviews  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

If it is doing this outside of a preset program, you should contact Horizon's customer service. There was a recall on the older T101 model. They should send you USB drive to update the treadmill and stop this issue. I hope that helps!

im 220 lbs i want to do brisk walking with/without incline 30 minutes 4x-5x per week, including light jogging prob 5-10 minutes per session. you say good for walking only? i cant really walk more than 4 or 5 let alone 10. i'm not sure i understand your comment, i'm not a outdoor jogger, but at 300lbs i would hope that this thing can support 15 minutes a day of 6mph jog for 220lbs without struggling motor or shaking???. and i love the dials - killer feature...

I'm only 5'4", and I feel like I'm running out of room on the T101 sometimes. The Horizon 7.0 AT is much better for running. It's more stable, especially when inclining. Its deck is also a lot roomier.

Your experience may vary, but probably about 2 hours maximum. It is much easier to do with the help of another person.

Treadmill prices change a lot, but at the time of this comment, the T101 is $649! Be sure to double-check the current pricing.
