Word of advice: If you can, refrain from using the beds at the back of the bus, directly at the bottom (Beds 21 and 24, I believe). The humidity from the engine directly underneath these beds may make your night's sleep an uncomfortable (and sweaty!) one.
Hello, I never knew this service existed?? It has been a while since I used this nursery rhyme 'The Wheels on the bus go round and round" but I enjoy it because it brings back some nice memories. What a marvelous bus service for such a long journey across the U.K. I am impressed. Thanks for sharing!!!!
Great idea, I'd definitely give it a go. With the very high price of Inverness to London sleepers these days, this bus could do very well on that route too, so I hope it's a success in Glasgow.
I wish they had this kind of bus in the USA. Especially when your taking a long 8 to 12 or 15 hour bus ride on megabus at night. I have taken megabus in the USA from MN to TN and from MN to OH and it would be cool to have this sleeper service.
A bit late I know but I recall there being USB ports inside the bed compartments that I charge my phone with just fine. I'm 90% sure there was a wifi connection too but I was wiped and didn't even try to use it. I really enjoyed the service. We got tea and biscuits when we got onto the motorway and orange juice & croissants in the morning! They also supply a toothbrush, toothpaste, eye cover(?), the bunks are cramped but comfy, but you're horizontal on a bus! Best bus ride I've ever had.
I can only reiterate what someone else said in answer to this: The fact that there are no stops to this service and passengers are effectively 'locked in' together till the end makes it one of the safest places in terms of storing property.
Hi eraldorh. There are charging sockets in each bunk bed I believe and wi-fi is also available (which kept breaking up during the journey so a Skype video chat is probably out of the question!).
At the moment it is the only service they do a sleeper service, but stagecoach has recently announced that they have ordered several double decker sleeper coaches which will be top of the range.
@gazwel83 Passengers are informed Before arrival, alerting the driver to a theft, means the Police will be on Scene upon the arrival of the coach, and everyone is searched as the alight if the item is not found upon Police Request.
I tried a Megabus sleeper service once - wouldn't recommend it. Flat beds in a bus on the motorway are a terrible idea, the bed was basically a netting hammock, I bounced around with every little bump.
when you purchase a ticket this gives you 1 seat and 1 bed, i beleive they are 24 of each, so you can sit as a normal passenger then go to your bunk when tired.
This is the worst travel experience I've had in my entire life! My family were treated like animals or Syrian refugees. We were not even allowed to sleep next to each other although there were beds. Avoid it like a plague.

I meant addendum, BLClivecast this bus is a Jonckheere Modulo, the engine and chassis is a Volvo B10M.
We need that in America
And you have it. Megabus is from America.
Rodrigo Zarza We don't have the sleeper version.
Oh, ok
Thing is, they didn't offer this on the Cardiff to Amsterdam (16 1/2 hrs ride), Just the double decker
when you purchase a ticket this gives you 1 seat and 1 bed, i beleive they are 24 of each, so you can sit as a normal passenger then go to your bunk when tired.

Havn't been on the bendy version, only the rigid one, bit cramped in the full sleeper config as it sleeps 41
@TheRIOfan1 And two months later, how was it?
London to Glasgow is approximately a 8hour journey.
I totally am not scared of a bendy coach
Some one try to rob me use a electric shocker pen
Mmmmm driver lots of coffee
What if someone let out a hudge fart and woken people up saying is anyone hurt

Please bring this to America. Or I will. :)
We have these types of service in India for very long period of time just we dont use bendy buses.
Is it just London-Glasgow? What about Edinburgh/Aberdeen?

Child song way did they use bad idea
Just a little ademdu

Can you tell when you book if you've booked a seat or a bed?
This service stopped several years ago now, but you got 1 seat and 1 bed per person.
