I have been in business since I was 21 when I opened my first soft play centre. I borrowed £750,000 from 21 different lenders to make it happen. We made £1,000,000 in revenue within the first 12 months, but then it went down hill... What happened next? In this video I share all our numbers from net turnover to net profit from a few of our soft play centres so show you an example of how we managed to save the business and actually make some decent profit.

Superb content as ever. The number of play centres we see come and go in our line of work is crazy. Many seem to struggle with the overheads and fold. Diversifying slightly evidently pays off and all within the existing premises. Brilliant 🤩

Real business numbers from a real businessman. The cash flow is really interesting to see and your ideas around blending 2 complimentary businesses together is great to see as its impact on the bottom line. Is there any incentive for people with young kids to buy a subscription plan (at a discount to straight entry price) that way your business smooths out the cash flow, kinda like a Health centre model. The DL for instance charges you £125/month, then when your there you buy food, have personal trainer (Extra) etc What a great Channel and being from Southend would love to see you build Rossi brand all over the place, so many oppertunites!

Amazing content James! A lot to take on board. We're adding another revenue stream to our business thanks to your advice in previous videos. I struggle with the balance of keeping capital on hand vs using it for growth/expansion, I'm sure I've missed out on lots of opportunities by being too focused on keeping capital.
I've been watching your videos since June/July last year, it's cool seeing the compounding growth of the channel.
Signing up to your university now.

So when you are 16-17 years old you had a few properties that you bought. How did you go about that? Is this covered in the Entrepreneur's University? How much did you spend on those properties, how much did you borrow vs how much money did you put down for deposits?

    • @JamesSinclairEntrepreneur
