ਸ਼ਸਤਰ ਨਾਮ ਮਾਲਾ Shastar Naam Mala

The Dasam Granth contains the magnificent and versified Shastar Naam Mala (ਸ਼ਸਤਰ ਨਾਮ ਮਾਲਾ), which was completed in mid 1687. Guru Gobind Singh praised God and its power in the shape of weapons in Shastar Naam Mala.
Miri (outer) and Piri (inner) are the two types of weapons. When a sword acts as wisdom and kills the entire darkness of the inner soul, it is known as Gyan Khadag and is an element of Piri, and when an iron sword is utilised to eradicate evil people, it is known as Khadag. The distinction is Sword of Wisdom and Sword of Iron.
