Marusada and Kaneko walk through - Japanese Koi Breeders

- This is a walk through of 2 farms and a dry goods store.
The first farm is Marusada Koi farm, very good Koi available at this farm. Tancho Showa and Tancho Kujaku. Very high quality.
Second breeder is Kaneko Koi Farm, very famous for Shiro Utsuri and Kujaku.
Also a quick visit to a dry goods store to pick up supplies!

I wasn’t a koi person until I started watching your channel. These line bred koi are beautiful. I can’t stand when people mix and mix bred koi a lot of them are just ugly.
You do know that EVEN the best Japanese breeders will get way more cull koi then show koi? its like taking pictures, you sometimes have to take hundreds of shots to get that ONE you like!
@@sirtubemaster yea but there’s a difference between breeding 1 or 2 different species that are line breed then breeding just what ever you throw in your pond which could have 5 or more different species.
@@nicks6837 that's why its important to do your homework on who your buying from majority of pond owners that by Koi are buying for themselves and their own taste so if they can buy some koi from a neighbor or friend cheaper then who cares? I DO AGREE if they are backyard breeders for profit and misleading for profit is wrong but most of these people KNOW what they are looking for anyways and wouldn't buy like this
@@sirtubemaster I’m speaking from my own experience I have a friend who keeps koi and gold fish and he just buys what ever and let’s them mix breed and they come out dull. But the quality on this channel has changed my mind when it comes to koi. I still don’t like gold fish. lol I’m for sure gonna have some koi one day. The crisp colors on these koi amaze me and I’ve learned over time in the hobby that the more money you spend the better the quality. lol
