Good show. I reckon Alekhine's New York 1924 book would be a good discussion piece. Excellent book and more varied openings and styles.

Nice discussion! On the stuff about neither book being the perfect collection for intermediate players looking to improve, had you considered doing an episode with a broader survey of classic game collections? There's a lot out there once you start looking, and it's hard to know where to start...

I have great respect for Andy Soltis' expertise on chess and chess history. But, as a native Russian speaker, I can attest that his pronunciation of Nepomniachtchi's name is wrong. The emphasis is on the second syllable

    Great conversation sir .
Do you consider only classic in this book review segment?
If yes then please consider pal benko life and games or anatoly karpov's best games collection written by himself. Thank you

Bobby Fischer though all the Kasparov-Karpov games were prearranged...kinda hard to totally dismiss his views after hearing this about Zurich. Kinda makes you go hmmm ......
