Thanks nmhello! You'll notice that I'm not producing these revisions as fast as I'd like to be, however most people find it easy enough to complete the series of 16 using the older versions now that you've done seven of them in the newer interface. The differences aren't huge. See how you go.
@@lloydrobson6828 Lloyd, I’m glad it’s working for you. Thanks for your kind words. Have a try at the next one in the older, unrevised version, most people are able to deal with things being in a slightly different location. I’ll keep revising, the next one is in the works but it’ll be a while.
Having watched numerous (maybe like 100 plus) TH-cam videos on beginner tutorials on Fusion 360 since like March this year, done a so called Boot Camp with 4 different subjects and challenges, and a few not so advanced designs, I am surprised that I really find these videos quite useful still. I mean this as a big compliment to you Arnold. While I did start out thinking, why do you not start with the origin. Why do you not start saving the design file, or other questions / other things seen as best practice, but did everything as you showed and realized as you also said “practice makes perfect”. The issues with all the other knowledge I gained through YT videos, was that often some tip, knowledge, best practice etc. did not stick to mind, or I did not fully understand how the constraint, functions, knowledge etc. play together. You have a great way of teaching to make things make sense, and stick. I am now at this video, continuing to the next! Thank you! P.s. Also love the 1 PDF with all the drawings, showing all needed dimensions, learning about diameter vs. radius, and all the other tips you teach again and again!
@@Amn2k9 Thankyou, I’m glad this is helping. All the work you’re doing will get you closer to the goal. I’ll keep making learning materials too. Keep in touch.
Hey Arnold ……. Great to see you back mate 👍 As I’ve said before, your clear concise vids. are just the ticket for old blokes like me. Easy to follow… looking forward to episode 8 Regards Robert
I’m very pleased to help SuperM, I see you’re on #7 here, did you see the others in the series? th-cam.com/play/PLFCTgdiT5-kLBNvrkUNy63Gu1tWdRuKkr.html&si=p08lwNtLx-xPSRH2
Hi Arnold, Ray from sunny Qld here sitting near the fire place taking advantage of your good nature and videos. Much appreciated, clear instruction. What is the best way to converse with you re-learning Fusion or engineering questions? Just watching tutorial revised part 7 you say origin back facing on the same axis mine is saying Righthand. Thanks for your invaluable time, Ray.
Good on ya Ray! My wife and three daughters are on holiday there right now. That was a blooper, well spotted! I’m not too concerned about which way is which since you can always change it later. I’ve got a video on how to re orient things here:-
I'm not seeing Revised parts 8-16. Are Revised Parts 8-16 in the works? I've enjoyed the series so far and have been making great progress learning Fusion360.
They are in the works, FF8, but you’ll notice my production rate has been a bit slow recently. Most people are able to follow with the older versions for 8 through 16 since the changes were relatively minor. It’s only a few tools that are in a different place and you’ll soon pick that up, now that you’ve done the previous seven.
@@ArnoldRowntreeTeachesFusion360 Thanks for the reply. Just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something. I'll continue but I'll be on the look out for the revised versions. I'm still going back and forth over lessons 1-5 to try and remember the various concepts and become proficient.
Hey, this week's newsletter is on 3D sketches! I was inspired by Brad Tallis' recent Fusion Friday video and I've done a free PDF give away to go with the issue. I was going to say that you'll be able to get the newsletter at my website in two days time but I just noticed that I've got a technical problem. Hopefully I can get this fixed in the meantime. Anyway here's the link to my website where back-issues normally are available: wordpress.com/view/futureengineering224170208.wordpress.com
Mike, there was a 100% discount code clearly placed on every page of the newsletter sign up process. You shouldn't have paid at all. I'm sorry, I have no way to get your money back to you but at least I can give you the link to my Google Drive where you can download the PDF directly. drive.google.com/file/d/1GQHJnwAH8L4ItQaK8TWXxF76v11L3zvM/view?usp=sharing
Haha! I can put it on though, I was born in New York. Anyway, I'm looking forward to visiting the UK someday, the place that transported my ancestor. - Just kidding, it was the source of so many good things.
The revised version is way much easier. Hope for future videos🎉❤

@@ArnoldRowntreeTeachesFusion360 Yes I have. I have also been drawing these drawings. We actually use your drawings at school to practice.
Thank you, Arnold!!

Good video though, at least as a beginner, I can't say I'm fond of those right-click menus... I prefer the menus and/or keyboard shortcuts.
There are so many ways to get the job done and personal preference is the final guide in these things.
Paid for your download 16 pages . Will not download . Cost me $5.00 . Why ?.
