So sorry you lost that beautiful boat. I can't imagine the sad feelings that you must have.

It may be hard for some people to understand how much an old boat can mean to us. So many memories of happy places and adventures and through storms they protect us from the outside elements. I’ve had mine for 22 years and memories are countless. Sad part is at one time I had a lot of friends that enjoyed along with me but as I’ve gone into the homestretch of my life many of them are gone so it’s pretty much and my old boat. I’ve been trough to tornadoes and more severe storms than I can remember on it. Seen hundreds of beautiful sunsets and it’s never let me down. Like me is up in years yet I turn the key she cranks and goes. I totally relate to your feelings about the old girl being scrapped. I often wonder which will go first me or my old boat. It has no value to anyone but me. I joke that when I pass dig a 50 foot hole and drop me and it in and bury us. Sorry for your loss. I’ve seen many sink and it’s sad to me.

Awe. Thank you for such a heartfelt comment! She was such a beauty! I love that you have companionship of your special vessel. It’s a unique relationship that few understand. ❤

How incredibly sad to lose your nice boat. After you have recovered I hope you get another one and have all the adventures you had hoped for. What caused her to sink?

There were some minor planking leaks that were scheduled for repair, then our bilge stopped and she went down when we were off of her for a couple weeks. We didn’t know the back bilge went out. 😢
