Finally! Legion!
Granted, its one of the strongest Legion + LB4 combos in a clan that I hate due to people trying to use it with only brute force... But I love when earlier forms of fighting are brought back!
Also... I think it's good that they didn't have Shion win. His win streak was getting a little crazy there.
And why did Shion waste an attack on the vanguard when he should have attacked the intercept to make sure his attack would go through? Granted, Kai did have a second intercept to use, but still, there was no point in that attack.

+Asef Bodlox that's why I like Narukami the Kaiser legion and the brawler Big Bang knuckle buster legion cause you can hit quite a bit in one attack. No need to just attack individual units. I was happy this episode came out but not amused at the kinda simplistic drawings of the kaisers in this episode. Can't you make em look like the card art bushi?
+The Pigerians I believe the greatest strength of the narukami is the boss "attack multiple units at once" technique.
Which is partially why I don't like narukami. Too many players see the awesome legions and go "oh look, ill just use raw power with no fancy tricks to smash everything". Effective to an extent, but boring. Please Narukami players, mix it up a bit! I know some of you are capable of more than brute strength!
And the card artwork is sooooooo much better, but too much work for the animators I guess :P
Ngl this is one of Kia’s most brutal final turns ever… when he used rebirth dragonic overlord he destroyed ren but with one unit in this case he attacked the front row twice and made a rear guard basically un blockable for shion

+Great British Kirby that may be so but for people like me, i don't have a card shop near me so i cant hang out with other people that play vanguard. no one in my school knows this game other then one of my friends (i introduced them to vanguard) so even if i get a deck i wont be able to play that much. so the only real option is CFO. also its still being tested in closed beta (for now at least) and the game will change and grow to become a much better game then it is now.
the star gate should've known better than to use both Kai Toshiki and Kouji Ibuki... of course fewer and fewer people would participate in the event
With guys like that as the challenge it would have made more sense if they allowed people to try as many times as they want and get full points.

Looking back, makes me wonder if Kai was playing Chaos Breaker in this G Quest until facing Shion, or was he using Kagero all this time?
I think Kai doesn't have his Link Joker deck (along with Overlord the Rebirth) anymore and doesn't want it anymore, as in G Z he shows dismay against Chaos Breaker.
So I bet he was using his Kagero deck, could be Overlord the Great (he used this deck against Mamoru in a previous episode) or his the Ace (w/ the X, Great, End) deck that he used against Shion in episode 6.

For those wondering,
If you had two Crownholder Dragons in the same column (left or right) and you had Dragonic Kaiser Warning successfully hit three units, you would have up to a 68k column before triggers.
Crownholder Dragon gives itself and the unit in the same column +2k per hit when the Vanguard with Kaiser in it's name successfully hits. So (7k base)+(4k boost)(3 hits) = 19k on its own. The reason why the boost becomes 4k instead of 2k is because two Crownholders in the same column would give each other +2k so you need to calculate that as well, thus the boost becomes 4k: (2*2k). That column is now 38k since both Crownholders are identical before triggers, (19k base)+(19k boost) = 38k column before trigger effects.
Dragonic Kaiser Warning gives two units +5k per hit and it attacks the front row units, which would ideally be 3. (5k boost)(2 units)(3 hits) = 30k boost. So if you add the previous column total of the two Crownholders, you would have a grand total of 68k power before any triggers are applied, (38k Crownholder column)+(30k boost off Warning's skill)
If you pulled a triple trigger and managed not to kill your opponent in this convoluted combo already, you add another 15k to the 68k total for a push of 83k, (15k)+(68k) = 83k. Just pray you don't get slapped in the face by a perfect guard.

In all honesty, think shion would have failed even if he had use the knight of fragment to attack his rearguard. He did good, few ever get that close to beaten Kai, but Kai is Kai, which means only 1 thing........ Final turn!!!!! (Dramatic music)
