After watching videos from Germany, France, The Netherlands, Denmark and now South Africa I can say that the conclusion after driving the Sandero Stepway is everywhere quite similar: Impressive and competitive for that little (compared to others) money.

Hi guys, loved the video - anything to say about the off road capability of this car over a standard sedan/hatchback? Is this just another "Polo Cross" type of vehicle or does is offer something more for regular gravel roads and light off roading (nothing technical)?
I hate the fact that you didnt explain how the car pulls up hill with that extra weight seeing that cape towns roads are steep and we're probably gona be having people in the car with us at any given time. You got to think what the customers going to be doing when they actually drive the car. I wont say it's a bad review but i wont say it's a good one either.
I got a full option Sandero Stepway (0.9 turbo petrol engine) for just a little over 12000 euros. That includes an automatic gearbox, rear view camera for parking, big tablet for navigation, automatic air conditioning, rear electric windows, LED day headlights... and I don't know what else. The cheapest Sandero (not Stepway) I think it's less than 7000 euros but I would never ever buy that. The strong point of Dacia is that it offers a lot of options for a small price and the spare parts are also quite cheap.
your friend has the right idea, there is no point in these cross cars or 4x2 . cant even go up sani pass. waste of money lol ! suzuki jimny for me ! (sold the inherited tuscon 4x2, its big, it uses a ton of fuel, and cant 4x4)

Renault is a crap brand and Dacia a good brand according to JD Power. But the Sandero is made as a Dacia and as a Renault!!! Clearly you must buy the Dacia made version.
