I have to say Italians don't get enough credit. They have come up with great dance music over the decades. I remember this classic from 1993. There was no internet then. So I automatically thought this group was from UK as they showed Maggie Thatcher in the video. But only via the internet I realised they are Italian. The Germans also came up with good dance music in the early 1990s along with the UK.

I was buzzing off this in 1982. New Gold Dream 81, 82, 83, 84. Fantastic album. You didn't need dedicated 'dance' then. The music was good enough without some DG ripping someone else's work off.
