Multiverse era is only good when it’s necessary the build up was also horrible I feel like they only rely on the multiverse story’s because they already used big named events from the comics and wasted it in one off movies like civil war so much better in the comics yet they wasted that even in a captain America movie. But trust me civil war in the comics is so good and good writing way better then what we got in the movie.Another example Is Ultron they could’ve easily used him His Brian Michael Bendis story is so good honestly they could’ve made 3 part movies out of these events. They still have more story’s to fold but they could’ve easily made a age of ultron era of movies and civil war movies as well after thanos but they didn’t such a waste
@@sweatycalves No, he's just not a good actor. He never was one, people like to cling on to whatever celeb is popular at the moment and Keanu is that guy right now...well after Ryan Reynolds who's currently being glazed. He's good in action films which don't require a lot of actual acting but Doom isn't some silent assassin he's a flamboyant Shakespearean megalomaniac who speaks in the third person Keanu absolutely does not have the range or energy for Doom. In theory RDJ could pull it off he certainly has the charisma to pull off the flamboyance but he's too recognizable as Tony he is to Iron Man what Jackman is to Wolverine. Keanu is better off being Ghost Rider Johnny Blaze both are motorcycle enthusiasts and Johnny is a simple guy that doesn't require a great deal of nuance to understand he's a good old boy who enjoys riding his bike and punishing evil. Not everyone should play every role and just because you're good in one role doesn't mean you're good in another (Pedro Pascal and Oscar Issac I'm talking to you) We need people who ACTUALLY understand the characters to cast them. Mads would've been perfect but I'm tired of recasts in the same universe, Cillan Murphy is actually perfect casting and unlike RDJ he wouldn't request to have his mask off which would defeat part of Doom's story and mystique. They screwed up introducing him at Hall H I knew then they didn't understand the character and it would literally just be Tony in a Doom costume. If they were smart they would've just had Cillian Murphy in the costume and just have him show up in character but never taking the mask off, it does the job of teasing his arrival but keeps the mystery of who he is. Using RDJ and the Russos is pure desperation they figure they can bring back the core audience by bringing them back but they don't realize the MCU wasn't popular because of RDJ it was popular for it's well written characters who had good actors attached to them and the world building. There is no setup or world building at all since phase 4 I would pay somebody to actually explain what the hell is going on. At least in the previous phases you knew we were building up to Thanos now we don't because Doom was never setup, he wasn't even mentioned he has no presence the only reason people are hype is because it's RDJ most people don't even know who Doom is. I advice everyone to watch the clip from Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon where Doom speaks to Iron Man that one scene alone in capsulized both Doom and Tony and show you their relationship and differences that scene will show you why RDJ is not a good Doom it's also a perfect representation of who Doom actually is.
@@nerothanomad2384 I respect your opinion but I've always loved Keanu, I thought he did great in the matrix trilogy and my favorite movie of his has got to be either speed or point break. I think that his past as a movie star who plays in r rated movies and isn't shy about blood and gore would fit great for a villain and his dead pan delivery made sense to me in the moment due to the cold calculating personality of doctor doom.
Agreed, I'm no longer a marvel fan because of all of this. They just need to completely reset.
Really? Because of THIS?!
Not this pacifically, just after Infinity War really with all of their bad writing and garbage movies.
@@jonathantully6216 fair enough. I enjoyed endgame but was annoyed at it. Then things got as bad as they were again… and then worse.
They should have just recast Kang

@@TE-fc8xw agreed, the coming deserved longer runs and buildup when pretested in the silver screen.
You lost me at Keanu Reeves as Doom.
@@nerothanomad2384 you're right he's too majestic
Yeah I rather have Mads or Cillian Murphy
@@mauditebalvenie those are much better castings
