Hello Dirk, a very nice video. I think you have explained everything very well. I hadn't paid attention to this during assembly and didn't center the steering servo at the beginning.
Hi Stephan. This isn't the best solution from Tamiya. As you can see in the video, I had several tries to get the right spot on mine either. But in the end it was worth all the attention. Have a great weekend my friend.
Comming on great Dirk! This is especially enjoyable to watch as our m0f 01x came already assembled ,so I didn't get the pleasure of seeing it all go together ! Nice to follow along buddy.😊 👍 👍 👍
Thank you James. Oh, that's a little bit sad. Building is half of the fun. I hope this might help to answer possible questions you might have on maintenance. Have a great week my friend.
Yes indeed buddy! I have to agree with you regarding the build...... But we needed one fast for Fils speed challenge so we bought rc Doms one off him. Sadly we were unable to make it into the competition though this year. With the dt02 speed run overlapping time just wasn't there, now on top of that I've gone and contracted covid again! 🤧🤮🤢🤕😷 With just a week to go I don't think we will make it. Still, it's been fun watching all of you guys anyway. 😊👍 👍 👍
Moin Dirk!
Great Info Dirk, good video and advice on buiulding.. Enjoyed as always my kit had items in the wrong bags it was confusing at times.. lots of greas haha, Awesome bud lets get her out there and run!!!!😎🤙👍
What surprised me as soon as I saw one of these built that it's sort of a redesign of the old TL-01 chassis and has the gears from it. One thing way better an adjustable motor mount. A dead centre servo very rare.
Hi Dirk, better safe than sorry, I would do the same when applying grease to the gearing. Like the detail explanation, If I was building this kit I would follow you step by step. Take care and best wishes to you and the family.
A weird chassis this one, no doubt you forget the foams i don't know why they made the chassis this way and made you have to use all those stick foam?? Should be fun trying to drive it really fast!
Thanks Steve. I'm not sure either, what the foam parts're for. For me it's the chassis might be constructed around the changing of the wheelbase. And the rest was done under the thought: " We still have to do the rest..."🤔
Thanks a lot Dom. I keep that in mind. Now it's too late. I trust these cheap 20kg ones. Never had an issue before and the Tamiyas still work with 5kg😉. I hope the servo'll last for this event. After this it might a nice evening in the garage to change it. Have a great weekend my friend.

Nice progress!!!
Thanks a lot😊

Thanks a lot. Fortunately the gears fit. Do yeah to the speed gears. What the servo does good, the chassis adapters for the servo did bad.🤣
Cool 🏁🦾
Thanks a lot😊

what you think so far mate . my advice put a good servo in as it’s a pain to replace 👍
@@RCBirds yeah you have to take so much apart to replace it . i use savox metal gear - about 6kg . expensive but are reliable 😊👍
@@rc-dom-uk cool, thanks for the tip
Startest du in zwei Kategorien? Bin jetzt gerade etwas durcheinander😅
Nein, nur Klasse 1. Habe aber die ersten Läufe vorgezogen, da ich auf's Board wollte. Das ist jetzt der Bau des Wagens.
