WHEN GOD THROWS US UP LIKE EARTHLY FATHERS DO: FAITH OR FEAR?
(LUKE 1:26-38; HEB. 10:23)

Introduction:
Luke 1:38 (NKJV): “THEN MARY SAID, “BEHOLD THE MAIDSERVANT OF THE LORD! LET IT BE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD.” AND THE ANGEL DEPARTED FROM HER.”
Heb. 10:23 (KJV): “LET US HOLD FAST THE PROFESSION OF OUR FAITH WITHOUT WAVERING; (FOR HE IS FAITHFUL THAT PROMISED;)”
Body
• As humans, we always want to figure out everything that happens to us.
• But in life, there're always uncertainties.
• Such is the case when a father, out of excitement, throws up a child.
• The child could either trust the father by having faith or panic in fear.
• THE ALMIGHTY GOD, as our HEAVENLY FATHER, also do this to us, HIS beloved.
• How we react at such times reflects the depth of our faith and trust in HIM.
• Mother Mary was able to carry the pregnancy of our LORD JESUS CHRIST successfully for nine months despite her situation being unique and rare in women's pregnancy history.
• At first, she was troubled about her situation, but the Angel of THE LORD made her to know that she had found favour with GOD (Luke 1:30).
• Despite the uncertainties of her future and strangeness (rarity) of her situation, she believed what the Angel of GOD told her and submitted to GOD's will.
• In Luke 1:38 (KJV) she said "… BE IT UNTO ME ACCORDING TO THY WORD …”.
• Brethren, how far we'll go in the journey of faith would be determined by our level of trust in uncertain seasons of life.
• How great and effective our work for GOD on earth would be is tied to our response when GOD throws us up.
• Let's learn to trust HIM because faithful is HE who has promised (Heb. 10:23).
Conclusion: Our reaction in uncertain times reflects the depth of our faith. Let’s learn to always trust GOD. Shalom!
