Hi Brandon, you have a great taste of music. I´m into Death Metal and Black Metal too and appreciated all your videos. I was fascinated that your "end of the year lists" are similiar to mine. I hope, you stay on! Horns up!
In response to 14:25, my top three extreme metal records (I don't count Mercyful Fate - Melissa as extreme metal) are: 1. Immolation - Here in After Everything about this album is perfect. Everything. The riffs, the lyrics, the song structures, the production, the underrated drum performances from Craig Smilowski, the overall dissonance, everything. I don't understand why everyone always rank Dawn of Possession as the best. As much as I love every song on DOP to death, the best song on it doesn't come anywhere close to the least amazing song on Here in After. 2. Devourment - Molesting the Decapitated Once again, pure perfection. Ruben Rosas's vocals, the dynamics between the slams and the brutal and grindy parts, the vocal patterns, the lyrics, the slams, everything. I've listened to this album well over a thousand times and it STILL never gets old. 3. Deranged - Rated-X Underrated, underrated, underrated. It is enraging how underrated this album is. The production is perfect, the riffs are punishing beyond almost anything I have ever heard, Per Gyllenback's vocals are about as unique and horrifying as it gets, and it has a genuinely brutal vibe. It seems old brutal death metal is having a slight resurgence in popularity, but most people STILL do not realize this utter masterpiece exists. One question I have-if you'd be willing to answer or even make a video about it, of course-is what are some of your favorite non-metal albums? Mine are mostly from Misfits (Static Age, 12 Hits from Hell, WUA Earth A.D., American Psycho), Samhain (Initium and NBF), and Oasis (Definitely Maybe and WTSMG).
Thanks for suggesting Beast Of Revelation. I'm surprised that slipped by me because I try and stay up to date with what Incantation and Asphyx members do. Sounds awesome
Top 3 would have to be 1. Electric Wizard - Dopethrone 2. Autopsy - Mental Funeral 3. Mutiilation- Vampires of Black Imperial Blood. If I have to choose like that I like some variety lol
Deiquisitor and Pentacle, great releases. Pentacle keeps flying under the radar on every release, had been out for 4 months before I discovered it this time. Not very promoted it seems. To pick 3, Atheist - Piece of Time, Immolation - Harnessing Ruin and Pestilence - Consuming Impulse.
Kreator "Pleasure to Kill", Mystifier "The World Is So Good That Who Made It Doesn't Live Here", Bolt Thrower "Realm of Chaos"... off the top of my head, I'm sure that'll change tomorrow.
Dude, much respect and much appreciation for your videos. Top 3 list (tough challenge) 1. Slayer - Reign in Blood (best and hardest record of all times) 2. Death -Leprosy / Bolt Thrower - For Victory (sorry for the double nomination, but hey: no more words needed) 3. Misery Index- Heirs To Thievery (perfect bad ass grind groove at its best). There you go!
1. CANNIBAL CORPSE-THE BLEEDING 2. DEICIDE-ONCE UPON THE CROSS 3. MORBID ANGEL-ALTARS OF MADNESS -all Death metal picks I know but it's my fav metal genre I'm trying to get into black metal but the shrieks are a lot to get used to for me. Great vid as always keep it up!
Thanks for the heads up on the Deiquisitor....man that’s some straight up STANDOUT Danish brutalityyyyy fuck yesssss Top 3 extreme Death Leprosy, Cannibal Corpse The Bleeding, Entombed Left Hand Path give me those three albums for the rest of my gd life...no complaints.
Love the cenotaphe and true werewolf albums. And yes cause of death is the best obituary album. My top 3 extreme metal albums right now: 1.Bathory-Blood Fire Death 2. Dissection-Storm of the Lights Bane 3. Morbid Angel-Covenant

Hey, good to see you back… as usual excellent choices! Okay, I'm just gonna point it out, you seemed a little under the weather or something, maybe I'm just seeing something that's not there, but regardless, stay healthy and safe as with everyone else… looking forward to your next post.

thanks! I am listening to Beast of Revelation. That's intense! ps do you like bands Neurosis? Just curious as I am getting to death metal (especially of doom-death flavour) as a huge fan of bands like Neurosis or doom/sludge/stoner bands like Ufomammut, Bell Witch, Corruption, Sleep, etc
If I had to pick my top 3 extreme metal releases ever right now: 1. Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane 2. Blasphemy - Blood Upon the Altar 3. Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse

I mean would Exodus count? DRI? Saint Vitus? Melvins? Probably the bourbon making me overthink it... I have to disagree about that Autopsy cover. The other one kind of fucks me up more, just because operations freak me out. Not like the original isn't awesome though too. Anyway, great video! Thanks!
