1) the reason Taiya didnt immediately let Akuse Jou onto the team is he had the wrong motivation. He wanted to be a hero because he wanted to be cool, he wanted the fame and fun of being a superhero. He learned from the others that the path is hard but whats most important is the Drive (Haha) to keep moving forward no matter how hard it gets. 2) Taiya does not have multiple catchphrases, if you listen he is saying the same phrase, but because fansubs are translated different ways you end up with episodes with entirely different translations
A few things to point out: - The monster did have fire eyes but not angry fire eyes, meaning we might get different looks to the fire eyes as the monsters keep coming! - A thing that I saw in my translation of the episode is that he thought it would be cool, that he would be as cool as them. Which again, in my translation it worked out as "I thought I wanted to be the cool hero but I was wrong!", so it could be how the translations worked out. - That little "Attack Mode" with the accent was adorable, please do that kinda thing more! - Saw that thing where after flipping the guns in the mecha fight, the guns were holstered on the legs? I believe the toy can actually do that! It has revolving joints all around it to put on the cars, it was even shown off in the toy reveal on the official advertisement channel for Bandai. Can't wait for next week!

I wonder if they will play with that more with the super robot or even the ultra robot for the later on series. As in boom boon combines with another in that way. Or have another of his species fuse to himself to create a much larger robot.

The lesson Jou learns is that being a hero shouldn’t just be about doing things with style and coolness
