mojo good morning, is it true that the dukoff miami florida is made with different material than these modern dukoff?
Youre videos are amazing Keith !
Cool. How would you widen a mouthpiece that is too tight (about 0.4mm)?
great video Mojo :) can this technique be applied to a hard rubber mouthpiece,
for example Selmer Short shank tenor piece.. that has a conic shank bore that is slightly smaller
in the middle and gradually bigger towards the end of a shank .. don't know why Selmer used to do that? that makes Short Shanks fit very difficult on any necks. so i've been thinking on a good method for reducing the shank bore but more only towards the shank's end to compensate for the conic bore?
I just got a new mouthpiece that sounds good with lots of volume (loud) but for some reason it won't play the low notes from F to Bb on tenor. Can you help me understand why. All my other mouthpieces will play there with no problem.
Hello, great tutorial! What are these glass plates that you use for finishing the shank of the mouthpiece? Is it some kind of abrasive glass?
3M Mylar adhesive backed sandpaper on a glass plate. I have a video on this subject.
Would it be easier to increase the bore on a HR mouthpiece?
Yes. But if you have many mouthpieces and only one seems large, then reducing that one makes sense.
Only if you do it past where the neck cork inserts to. Even then it will be minor so you push in a hair to compensate.
Why not just put strips of tape on the inside of the mouthpiece? Scotch tape or electrical tape depending on how much the bore needs to be decreased. No glue necessary. Is there a reason why your technique is preferred?
+Michael Kantor Tape inside the bore will only hold up for a few uses. I have tried it.
.you tell me your page but I only see your videos and you don't answer my question eternal health and
Hello. What is the name of the epoxy? Or what is it for? Please tell me ... not the fact that I will find her in Ukraine!)

Can you please tell me, I bought a mouthpiece on the market in a poor condition and there are chips and holes on the rails, can I fill in chips and cracks with this epoxy and then edit it on the table ???
I can send you a photo, this is not often seen :) you can spoil it for one or two times, but otherwise you want to restore it. Selmer soloist C * tenor. There is no one to ask, so I am writing to you.
All those tools and no nail clippers.
Yes you can use this method on any mouthpiece material and mouthpieces with tapered bores.
Just did it on a bari mouthpiece and I can finally enjoy it properly. I may have to apply another layer of epoxy to fill the small (crater like) holes left by my first layer with the plastic film and reduce the diameter a bit more. But the process is quite simple and perfectly efficient. Thanks for sharing with us.
