If she is a fan, then she would know how to play the situation. Although, watching that initial interaction, I didn't take it that way. To me, it looked honest and no worse than the joke all bad response, if you consider the context. Why does Taylor feel offended/entitled to Shep's new girlfriend to tell her she did nothing wrong? I think it points to why Taylor is still on the show. They seem to be using these new relationships to prove how they are over one another. Shep even said Taylor's family prefer him. They are still playing games with each other. The opposite of love is not hate, but indifference.
The problem with what JT did is the fact that people are going to know that Madison’s husband doesn’t trust her around Austin. By the way , totally normal , I would call her too , but if we are friends and you spill my business like that , we would have a problem . The way Shep talks about Taylor and her fiancé is very egotistical , like he is the catch and she is nothing without him , I don’t like it,
I don’t care for JT, l but I think he is necessary to bring out the drama on this show. Just love to hate him!😅 He is a dork and very obvious not many people like him. But I think the rest of the cast is being super mean to him and they’re looking bad. I think Madison fell flat trying to shut JT down. She’s just embarrassed her hubby was jealous of Austen, wondering what went down in the Bahamas. I’m really disappointed with Craig lying and having a stick up his ass. Shep & Austin are still boy men😅🙄🙄
Lot of people in the north do have that attitude toward southern people that are born and raised there when they move down there. Believe me I know. The south has become a melting pot but Charleston is a very small town.

If the internet is to be believed, then JTs net worth is comparable to Shep's. So it's like he believes he ought to fit in, but seems insecure in that short guy complex kind of way. His approach looks like he was going the "nice guy" friend route to access to the kind of women the main guys date. He likely wanted to spread the Madison rumor to get at Austen, not thinking about how it would backfire, and cost him his friendship with Madison because it exposes her husband who has been going through a hard time. I don't think JT is malicious just deeply insecure and lacking self-other awareness. I kind of see JT and Austen as being cut from the same cloth. I don't understand why women are attracted to Austen. Maybe it's because he's supposed to be 6'5 versus JTs alleged 5'6. I saw an Olivia interview that said it wasn't her choice not to come back. She's been away a lot since her parents moved and is engaged to someone else so says Bravo told her she's chosen a different path. It kind of makes it seem like they will only use her if they are able to exploit her trauma.

Not defending Gaston at all. I do want to mention last seasons reunion when they do discuss Shep being blacked out at Bravocon and either grabbing or smacking Taylor's booty with Gaston there. You see Shep still making petty/ jealous comments about Taylor and Gaston. It's "Shep's show" or whatever. I can see that possibly being a fator of why he didnt want to go to the party.
