We are all getting more and more connected weather you like it or not. Insane.

This has everything but the magic ingredient that makes a story, a story. The Pie.
You can't tell a good story in any medium, without the Pie.

I'm a huge fan of VR and I'm very interested in the storytelling potential of the medium... but I've never heard anybody make such an awesome set of technologies sound so uninteresting as this guy did. It's a pity: he's worked on some amazing projects and he's seen the beginnings of what's got the potential to become a fantastic new medium for us all... but he undersells it.

I am beginning to hate these ted headlines on popular topics. They advertize one interesting thing which is then briefly mentioned in the conclusion as some kind of hope for the future, but they alwasy tend to deal with some sub-topic. Just have confidence and say that so we dont waste our time. This was not about storytelling. It was about the format and what it can do.

Awesome use of VR, can't wait until the VR for PS4 comes out. Hopefully Atlantic has some sort of app for the PS4 so you can see their creations at home!

The only difference in the "next gen" consoles are processing power and memory so that 4k and 60 fps can be achieved.
The only reason I mentioned the PS4 VR is because lots of people have a PS4 and it looks to be one of the cheapest ways to get good hardware. I doubt that the Neo and Scorpio will have redesigned VR hardware.

I'm not sure, if 'storytelling' will work properly in this medium. To
me, the most astonishing VR-experiments are more 'experiences' to me.
There is nothing wrong with that, and it works fine. But I kinda want to
see what is beneath the craze of "oh my god I'm in a submarine" or:
"Dude, I'm standing on Mt. Everest". Will games with a complex story
work? Or will they make gaming just more attractive to the "non-gamers",
because of this new technology? It's gonna be interesting.

Think about the start of film, and the Lumiere brothers. for the begging it was just ohh train coming into a station, ohh people leaving work, This is a new medium at it takes time to work out the in's and out's of the best way to communicate to an audience but give it time and people will come up with solutions to take the medium forward
