    Quite simply, the greatest Scientific and Engineering triumph of the 20th Century. And Boeing was front and centre of that effort..!

      @SKIPWOOD-UA777CAPT 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No... Scott Crossfield... the X-15 pilot and engineer... by the time Apollo came around Scott Carpenter had been booted out of the program because he was distracted on his re-entry on the Mercury flight causing him to over shoot his landing spot by 250 miles..... he never even flew on Gemini which was before Apollo @@KCFlyer2

      @@SKIPWOOD-UA777CAPT Scott Crossfield was NACA, not NASA. He later worked for North American aviation. He was never a part of the NASA astronaut program.

      You are half correct... he was contracted for engineering and was part of the Apollo team until the plugs out testing which he thought were foolish for the obvious and unfortunate fate of 3 astronauts..... @@KCFlyer2

    I'm glad they pointed out the command capsule fire. What an achievement by America. So many companies from that time are no longer around. Today with the Artimus program, so much of the Apollo knowledge would have been helpful. I'm sure they have documents to fall back on, but the knowledge base from those that actually worked on Apollo is lost.

    The Germans used to be good engineers. Some people my grandparents knew built the first V1 prototypes in Austria, not wanting anything bad just scientific goals back then been used by the Nazis for war. There is always 2 sides of the story, mostly inventions are not made for destruction just ingenuity. Apologies to all the victims and may they be remembered.
