Finally got a best recorded, used same steps to record guitar. No amp sounds, no gain no matter which amp I choose. Very frustrating. To much crap to get thru before you actually just create and play music !!!!!!!! Ugh.
This is a great intro. Some people making music with modern technology, will struggle to believe, the steps you have shown here are needed, before someone can get going. I definitely needed coaching through those steps, at one time, not long ago, so can recommend this little tutorial as a great first stab at GB for iOS/iPadOS. There’s already a wee criticism emerged in comments, and I confess I don’t understand it, so I will just stick with my usual observation, your content is easily worth what I’ve been charged to watch it…cough. When I think back to the cutting-edge of amateur audio production in 1997 or so, a Roland Vx summink, I mean, there were no graphical indications of any sort I recall, waveforms for example hah! Apple’s baby DAW was so belittled, it’s what attracted me to trying it in the first place, because I had fought and lost (!) with Cubase on a PC. Between you and the other guy (you know who!), it was the boost I needed, and lo,and behold, GB for mobile devices has really gotten a lot better, as it grew and the devices I could afford, improved. Have a great 2024 Patrick.
Awesome. Couple tips I didn’t know 😊 Q: can you use the iPad to go out there and add tracks to your main song on the Mac back at home? Do you have a video showing work on the same project with the 2 platforms? Happy new year!
Go to share, select send project, and send to your mac. It needs to convert it to a macOS file, but any plugins for iOS won’t transfer. But I use my IPad Air 5 M1 for starting my song ideas, etc. then refine on my Mac Mini M1
I used to eat sleeep $hit and piss music until my studio was destroyed by some very unsavory dip$hits. I had saved up for the studio over a decade. lost it all in a flash. For the past 9 years I have been trying to make recordings work on PCs and whatever I can g3t my hands on. All crap!!!!!! I HATE PCS!!!! But today the local Coppel put some ipads out on display so i got the store credit card and i'm going in to get one this weekend. FINALLY.... i'll be able to get my ideas down. After so many years. I almost ended everything so many times. Life without music is not worth living. It's HORRIBLE without music!!!!
Is there a way to preview or demo synth sounds before loading them when using GB on an iPhone? On the iPad it’s easy because there’s room for the keyboard and the list of presets. As far as I know, on the phone you have to load a sound, be taken to the keyboard, and then go back to the sound library to switch. There must be a quicker way to demo sounds!
Hi what would you recommend I buy to replace my 2016 MacBook pro i was using primarily for GarageBand? I want a piece of machinery that i can use solely for my music projects alone.
Hey idk ifyou still look back at this video but can i know how to export a song from garage band, it will not give me the o-ti0ns to even export as wav on my ipad pro and im lost on how to extract it from the project, thanks

If you’re comfortable with the workflow on Mac, then a newer model Mac with an M series chip would be a good bet.

So the tool shown in the thumbnail is “beyond the scope of this video”? Not cool, dude.
What a gyp.
What do you mean? I haven’t watched it yet, do you not know were it is?
It's literally a beginner's video. That feature is later on.
