Helps a lot with 4 cyls, droning, etc. Google “bottle/bullet resonator”. 👍

    Hyundai/Kia stepped up their game with their cars and trucks. Had a 5th Gen Sonata (2007) back in 2010. It had 3.3L V6. It had a few mods. (Exhaust, lowered, stereo, etc...) Drove great. Wish they didn't drop the V6 as an option but the turbo 4 is a little rocket. This doesn't sound too bad. It is good to see that I am still triggering "Self Made Auto" and "Putin." Without the pops and the built-in ability to reverse it the Elantra N has. The Sonata also only gets 14 extra HP and an open diff to go along with its extra ~250 pounds of curb weight. Price wise, they are very similar (with the DCT). I like the Sonata a lot, but the Elantra N definitely wins if you want a performance tuned car you can fit your family in. If you want a family car with a whole lot of zip, but less of the performance tuning then the Sonata wins, for sure.

    "I want all the sound without the drone". Some people just dont understand how it works lol. The louder you go, the more drone there will be. They go hand in hand. Some systems just help minimize the drone a tad, but not too much depending on the overall loudness.

    • @praetorianonyt
      @praetorianonyt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      As a musician and sound engineer, you’re 100% wrong. Loudness does not in any way equate to drone. Drone is resonance caused by a certain frequency of sound. When installing something like the Stainless Bros resonator, that frequency is muffled and eventually near-eliminated as it resonator “breaks in” over time. I can personally attest to the fact that this car did not drone whatsoever after the res install. But hey, believe what you want I guess 👍

    • @notimezforgames1465
      @notimezforgames1465 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@praetorianonyt this is also dependent on the vehicle aswell...some vehicles, especially older one's, and pushrod setups tend to idle much rougher than more modernized dohc, and GDI setups overall...regular maintenance also plays a role...manuals tend to be less droney that auto's since majority of auto's tend to sit in high gears at highway speeds naturally unless you drive them in sport/shift mode..then, of course, straight through mufflers/deleted muffler setups tend to come with more drone than majority of baffled muffler/exhaust setups..overall, the louder a vehicle, the higher possibility of much more annoying drone but still, with the right setups, a vehicle can be loud but still minimize drone effects although other factors should be weighed in....leaving on the resonator and cats generally results in a more stable sound across the boards...

Dynamic suspension, ACTIVE exhaust, electronic LSD (Sonata N-Line has an open diff), manual trans option (except the Kona N), among other things.
