Absolutely hit the nail Professor sahab. In this age, we need more mentors like you who provide guidance with practical solutions. Most of the advice in our culture- even though with good intention, is centred around changing the other person. This is not the correct way to approach the issues in married life. What you said about changing oneself instead of changing the other is the best way forward. Communication is imperative. Acceptance of the present and living in the past/resentment can not go hand in hand. For a marriage to work, MIND + BODY + SOUL must work in harmony and in peace.

Absolutely hit the nail Professor sahab. In this age, we need more mentors like you who provide guidance with practical solutions. Most of the advice in our culture- even though with good intention, is centred around changing the other person. This is not the correct way to approach the issues in married life.
What you said about changing oneself instead of changing the other is the best way forward. Communication is imperative. Acceptance of the present and living in the past/resentment can not go hand in hand.
For a marriage to work, MIND + BODY + SOUL must work in harmony and in peace.
