The defense being asleep the first half I’ll chalk up to Mike Mac being a rookie HC and just not having the crew ready for a very good team. The thing that made this game feel impossible was the usual suspect, the O Line is totally non-functional. We can’t get back into games against serious opponents with the QB getting lit up constantly, RBs getting hit in the backfield, or run the Grubb style of offense with no pass-pro. The trenches should be the focus in the offseason. It doesn’t matter whether you got Geno Smith or Agent Smith back there, they can’t compete with what this line is allowing
Well, if this game was a test, Seattle failed miserably. They are not on the same level as the Packers. And Minnesota is up next. If Sam Howell is starting, Seattle is doomed.

Mahomes, yes. Allen doesn't get very many calls. Burrow gets even less. Remember that play earlier in the season where he was hit in the head and it wasn't called? Agree though that Geno doesn't get calls.
The realization of how many flaws the o line has that Geno has helped cover up is unsettling to say the least. I knew they were really bad... The fact that they're probably even worse than I thought has me giving up on this season. The fact that Grubb keeps calling slow developing plays in spite of that has me pretty down on him right now too.
The chances of us getting to the playoffs just went close to zero. Super doubtful we'll beat Minnesota, Chicago is a toss up and the way the Rams are playing, highly doubtful that will produce a win in that matchup. The Rams remaining schedule is by no means arduous and i can see them winning at least 2 of the next 3. Oh well, onto next season
I was listening to hawkblogger (Brian newhouser) and he started to talk about Sunday night game. He is inside the building and is asking Macdonald questions in his press conference. But he said on his show that Macdonald isn't totally sold on grubb and his offense. First grubb wasn't the person he wanted to hire to take over the offense it was john. Macdonald wanted Arthur smith. Brian said on his Monday morning show he believes that grubb is gone after this season. Macdonald wants a different type of offense and after the packers game he is angry with how they played. So my conclusion is that grubb will gone this season. It won't matter if grubb has a incredible last 3 or 4 games. Both grubb and Macdonald have philosophical differences and he won't speak ill about grubb but with what happened to the offense I just think the whole offensive staff will be overhauled next season. Which is beyond crazy because grubb doesn't throw the ball, block etc. It's on the players and they failed grubb.
@@thomascox9362 Well, a huge part of the problem is that Seattle doesn't have an offensive line. That's on John Schneider. It's really unfair to blame Grubb for the subpar performance on offense with the crappy O-line they have.
Finding out just how bad Sam Howell really did coming in for Geno made me think of just how Geno could be covering up a lot of Grubbs insufficiency. Maybe.
