Our first time was at the sea glass tower the tall skinny window hotel between the yachtsman hotels then we stayed in a tent at mrytle Beach state park at then my inlaws condo
We stayed at the Hampton Inn on Broadway. We requested one of the rooms with a balcony that overlooked the lake. The staff was truly amazing very attentive to our needs, polite and courteous. Hotel was perfect for walking to shopping, restaurants we could listen to the bands performing from 6-10 at the Hangout, best of all for me Starbucks only steps away from the hotel!
LOVE the Caribbean resort and villas on 30 N ocean Boulevard! It was the last resort on the right side as your video ended!! ALSO right 👍 NEXT door to THAT is one of the best restaurants IMO on the Grand Strand, The Sea Captains House 🏡 oceanfront dining!!!! Amazing!!!!
I have stayed at an older but lovely hotel at N . Ocean & 2nd Avenue called Bar Harbor . Always clean , everything you need , nothing you don't. Ocean front balcony with pool and doesn't break the bank and walking distance to all attractions. I love summer but it's so crowded & expensive so I tend to arrive in early September. Still warm Ocean temperatures and not as crowded. A side trip to Charleston or further out to Savannah is always lovely as well . Enjoy the channel!
@Carmen and Brian Wondering if when y'all do the Ocean Blvd tours, if you could spotlight some of the older, less expensive yet nice motels . These cater to families on a budget that can not afford big resorts and perhaps can only afford one trip to MB once every two years or so , but still love the area and wish to enjoy this with there kids while there still young . Just some thoughts, thanks 😊!
I'm from Cincinnati. Been coming to myrtle beach since I was 6. I'm 31 now now bringing my own children to myrtle beach and they love it as much as I do. It has been my second home. I've always stayed at myrtle beach resort. Now we stay in a condo in Surfside.
@@ryanbarlow688 We're staying in Garden City. You all driving? I want hubby to experience the smokies, and the excitement of seeing the first palm trees as you "get close". In 1977 on my first time seeing the ocean (I was 5) we popped over a hill to see all this blue water and I yelled "that's the biggest pond I ever saw!" :-)
Hubby and I are coming down from Kentucky on May 30 and staying in Myrtle Beach June 1st thru June 6th. I haven't been there since 1996, and before that I was there (first week of each June) 1977 to 1989. Hubby is from England has NO IDEA what he's about to experience :D
I know you were giving an overall drive up Ocean Blvd. Great video! Could you touch a little about safety in the parking decks of the Hotels/Motels and general areas to be cautious of? Not many of the videos I’ve seen ever discuss safety in the parking decks for your vehicle and yourself by having to park in them?? Any comments on best area to park at, etc...
@Carmen and Brian thank you! Our daughter and grandkids live in SC so we meet up at Myrtle for the past 4 yrs!(we fly in they drive 3hrs) It's nicer than the Jersey shore! Thank you for your videos, they are very helpful!
We are coming on May 12th! This is only my second time to Myrtle Beach. We usually go to the gulf side of Florida but it’s nice to go to a little less crowded area. Sooo ready to be there.
We will be there in JULY! Before kids, my Husband and I always went in September, just because its better hotel pricing, as long as its hot I am happy to be there! We are from Pennsylvania!
Thanks for the drive in this video. Mrytle Beach is one of my fav places and with your videos, I always feel as if I am sooo much closer to being there! (took a walk in the snow this morning in CO, lol) I visited Mrytle Beach last in 2019 , before the pandemic and I stayed at a VRBO ...was nice enough. Mostly I spend my time at Brookgreen Gardens. But since I have been watching your videos, I will definitely venture out a bit more based upon your recommendations!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the videos! We do have a few on our channel. The most recent ones from this year are barefoot Landing and also a drive down North Myrtle Beach’s Ocean Boulevard.
My family have stayed at the Crown Reef Resort for the last several years. Great lazy river. It takes @ 6 minutes to go all the way around. Supposedly the longest on the Grand Strand. Very relaxing. Other pros are lots of hot tubs, Loco Gecko bar and grill inside and right next to Damon's and a banana boat/parasailing place 👍
You actually mentioned the hotel I stay at...Holiday Sands North! Has the beautiful boardwalk view! I'll be there July 9-16. I tend to go the second week after celebrating my July 4th birthday! From Tennessee & love getting to the ocean!🌊🌊
Hi my family and I visited on April 10th it was my daughter first time she loved it. We stayed at "paradise resort" We'll definitely be coming back for her birthday in july.
Love to come spring and fall. Been there in the summer. Way too crowded and hot. Have also been at Christmas time. Love the holiday versions of the shows. We are owners at Holiday Inn Club Vacations. But before that we stayed at the Crown Reef when it was fairly new.
Yes I need a few chill things to do. If you have ideas let me know. I have Been to the museums there like the wax and mirrors and the haunted one that scared me and the aquarium when I was there almost two years ago
I would recommend both Myrtle Beach, State Park and Huntington Beach State Park. Also, another relaxing activity is to tour Brookgreen gardens, which is right across the street from Huntington Beach State Park. We hope you have a great relaxing trip
Marriott hotels are always top of the mark hotels. I've stayed at them on business from Atlanta to Charlotte to North myrtle beach. Always great places
I will be there next week !! I am staying in an Airbnb house that has washer and dryer etc. I have had a very hectic 6 months in DC. I just want a very chill week with walking to restaurants and coffee shops , shopping , going to mall and I might do that tour that takes you to Charleston. I am thinking there will be way less people then going june- august and I just want quiet. DC has mentally drained me
Yes, you picked a good time to come. There’s still plenty of people, but it’s lower crowds than spring break or the summer. And you’re getting here before the two bike festivals in May.
I'm coming to Myrtle the week of July 4th. Staying at the Marriott's OceanWatch Villas. I don't know if you do hotel reviews, but I'd love to see a video on those villas.
We went down to m Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and we had fun but before I left I fell and hurt myself I’m ok but hurt my arm home for three days for my arm to get healed
Carmen we are staying at the Landmark the 2nd week in June do they have shuttles to the different destinations areas or should we just Uber or park on our own?? Thanks Joe and Mj
I doubt Landmark has shuttles but I would ask them directly. There is a free bus the city runs that looks like a trolley and hits a lot of the popular areas. Here's info: coastrta.com/entertainment-shuttle/
We have not eaten at a breakfast buffet, so hopefully somebody else can answer that for you in the comments. I have heard from other viewers that Mammys kitchen has a good breakfast buffet.
We hope you had a great trip! We live here and there is crime here just like there is crime everywhere else. There is more crime during the main tourist season when a lot of people, both good and bad, visit the city. It's good to be aware of your surroundings at all times just like in any tourist city.
@@CarmenandBrian my family and I have only been there 1 time and fell in love with the warm bath water they call a ocean lol we want to go back in 2024

It is a fun drive for sure!
Why are you driving so fast??? Slow down and enjoy the scenery!!
We’re going the speed limit which is 25 mph. Legally, we can’t hold up traffic
@Carmen and Brian Sorry, looked like 35....
I think it’s the high definition film at 60 frames per second. Makes it look faster than it actually is.
They must have the area blocked off so everyone can celebrate the volleyball courts and zip lines or another food truck rally
I put some text on the screen, it was the worlds strongest man competition.
