I feel like I've been watching your videos enough to know that Filip Laskovars' 3 favorite Overdress decks is Bruce, Orfist, and Greedon and I'm about 90% sure his number 1 is Orfist but it might actually be Greedon and he enjoys decks that have some interactions but are straight forward and simple
I've started playtesting set 3 Bruce and I have to pick your brain on this Filip. I get that Lenard has the full column swing and the on-hit soul charge even if the call from soul is restricted to Grade 3 Bruce, but I've been running Eden and being able to get Bruce to 3-4 crit with Brian, Pandemonium and even the overtrigger along with Eden's restand crits are all pretty nice and he has his own on-hit pressure. Is it the cb vs sc or really just a judgement call between the two? I want to make sure I'm not missing something really important about Lenard unless I'm just favoring Eden for personal reasons.
My personal playstyle uses Lenard with the G1 dog (move to soul after boost in final rush and give something 10k) If your opponents lets attacks hit or if they have a back row and cant afford to guard 2 units Lenard keeps pulling the dog out and the dog keeps going back in I have gotten a combo off to where with persona ride and pandemonium tactic or the first bruce order (cb draw call 10k to front) my RGs (usually Lenard and/or eden) were at 60+ and 70+ In combination with Mabel if CB can be managed (and you call her or lenard her out of soul) you get 3 drives and more chances to hit crits Some of our old videos might show this combo but thats the gist of it Thank you for coming to my TED talk lol
@@TopDeckHeroes Thank you for the TED talk haha. It's so cool how we can both play the same deck in such different ways and get to similar endgames. In Set 3, I'm backing away from the dog and Marjorie and even Protobulb to go for a more main phase setup "diabolos tribal" build that I think I'll carry into set 4. I've still got a lot of testing to do before I know what I'm comfortable with in Set 3, but thank you for all the details about what you've come up with. If I hit a roadblock with my own thoughts, I'll definitely come back to this comment and see if your insights could help me figure out even just a tech option.
I'm still wondering if running Trickstar as starter is worth it. You only really revive 1 Trickstar per turn anyway so isn't it better to get the draw going second? Going first is better most of the time anyway so might as well compensate for going second
I've been starting with trickstar since set 2 and loving it. There are turns where you wanna revive one on first grade 3 turn and keep it in the back to set up for your big push turns. Just put himena at front if you wanna use trickstar column to push. If you decide to OD early, going for just Erger is good since it's hard to hit so it can stay for next turn so the 2nd trickstar has value. Or if you go into Arcs, opponents are likely to burn attacks into Arcs so they dont deal with two overdressed units next turn. Otherwise that left alone arcs just becomes an Expecta.
Just wanna say, on the first game, after you use regina's skill i don't think you can't change lyle's and bryan's (the one behind vg) places. Because if you do that you need to put both lyle and the bryan (behind vg) for the part for the skill instead. I don't think it'll change the outcome of the game. Just a little thing that i want to point out. Still a great showcase, keep up the good work guys
Ah yes about that Since we are working with new cards and combos we let ourselves sometimes (if we see it) change up the way things were played (provided there wasn’t an irreversible game state or a new card revealed that would change the outcome) In this case I believe you are referring to 16:37 and the reason it was “ok” to switch them is because both of those were called down by the orders effect
Ah, i think i'm in the wrong here. I thought that the bryan (behind the vg) is already there from the turn before, mistaking it with the one that is actually behind the g1. I believe that correct calling like what you guys did with changing the place of calling both bryan and lyle is very general and usual to do, and that's not a problem. Thanks for the correction
I think we can clearly see how strong Bruce is, despite "losing". Putting the 1mil on rear game 2 was clearly just so that game was fairer. However, in game 3 the OT for Nirvana was given to VG which clearly won him the game. It's a little unfair giving nirvana a break but then allowing bruce to lose to it, but I think it was clear how strong bruce is.
For what it's worth, there are plenty of times where letting the Vanguard take another hit for counter blast is a smart move. Filip and I both agree that in hindsight, he should have put OT on vanguard but there's really no way to predict the outcome past the current turn.
To be fair, at the time it seemed like the smart thing to do! A little extra CB to let Bruce go off seemed smart, but there was no way to know how the turns after that would work out. I don't blame Filip one bit.
Rule sharking game 1 but that last Bruce turn he didn’t technically declare final rush so that whole turn was invalid.. I know friendly fights are cool but it’s always good to play as close to the rules as you can
I think it's sort of Karma that Fillip didn't put the overtrigger power on the VG seeing as he made quite a few mistakes regarding his own units making them stronger than they actually are. Also, funny how he can correct Conner when he misinterpreted his own units skills but doesn't remember his own. Guess he was just too stoked to play Bruce.
Its ok, just like we forgot to double check and read the card effect, so have you forgotten to read the description. Don’t worry i got you “*Please keep in mind these card effects and interactions are new so misplays are bound to happen. “ Welcome to the #ReadingIsHard group lol
Not sure why you didn't re-ride Bruce in that first game... it basically replaces itself anyway, so why not get that free +10k Power boost from front-row... :-P
THANK U GUYS I HAD NO IDEA NEW VAIRINA WAS THIS POWERFUL THANKS TO YOUR GAME PLAY I HAVE THE MOTIVATION TO KEEP PLAYING OVERDRESS
this video is a prime example why you should always run TWOOOOO VAIRINA's!!!! xD
Exactly lol
Filips near death from coughing in every video is more consistent than my love life.
Down to their set up n personalities these guys r a pleasure to watch keep it up 🤟🏾
The parts where you both got over triggers has got to be my favorite parts of the video XD
Could I get a deck list for your bruce decks it looks very spicy. Also looking at getting the power dice if you know where I can find them.

Vairina Espresso on game 1 actual power was 73k. well, not like it matters since there's a PG in hand-
Really hope we get to see vairina latte as well and vairina mocha imao.

It’s time for that rematch we won’t get in Season 2… Bruce v Nirvana.
that vairina swing at 15:18-ish was 73 not 63. he put all effects from the 2nd crit there
i was jsut about to type that in hes forgetting about his own vg skill! or the tirgger power idk. but its w.e

Either way great game because I have been waiting to see this match but because of what happened here I think I was on to something to still run Erger

Does the grade 4 Bruces gain final rush? When you on the for one turn?

Don’t meme if you want to win
Technically also foreshadowing lol
That said, a restanding multicrit vanguard with the sheer pressure of Bruce is enough to make anyone sweat.

Bruce became Baromagnus with the 15 soul count
Then became Overlord with restanding.
