    I have a jb jr in the bridge one of my strats, and just crappy squire single coils middle/neck. Tempted to put another jbjr in the neck now. Very tempted. Amazing playing here too.

    Dude you seriously are incredible I half way through forgot that I was supposed to be paying attention to the pick ups because your riffs were just out of this world awesome. But ya the tone sounds awesome I really like these. I’m buying a new squire classic 70s vibe jaguar which comes with two single coils and no room for a full humbucker without fully having to remove wood from the guitar and make a space witch I won’t do so I think I’m going to pick up one of these and a lil 59. I think it will be the perfect combo

      @Wouterrj  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks man, I really appreciate that! And I think that indeed will be a good choice for pickups :)

      Did you happen to do this yet? Because I have a jb jr in the bridge of my jag right now and it just isn’t working for me. I think they sound much better in strats than jags. I’m replacing it with a quarter pound (sjag-3b) since I already have the quarter pound neck (sjag-3n) and I might try dropping the jb jr in my strat bridge instead. Currently the strat has all Yosemite pups but the bridge is quite harsh so a jb jr might be the ticket. Cheers.

    Very smooth transitional movements. Back to the pickups, I have a JB Seymour from the day, such a solid pickup for multiple disciplines and genres.. Sounds like the Jr is and has been carrying that on currently..
    Thank you for the demo sir!

    Sounds sick on both settings. Really love the sound of neck just what I'm looking for sounds like a strat neck pickup, but should have the output of a humbucker I assume.
    I put a Seymour Duncan I believe the Distortion Humbucker in my bridge, and now the volume loss switching to my single coils is way to much (I always expect Some but not that much, honestly I was originally thinking the JB to begin with, and maybe that would have paired better), hoping one of these in the neck, and maybe even a duckbucker in the middle Should solve my problem. The fender vintage noisless pickups I'll be taking out can go in my squire which has Duncan design single coils, not bad but since getting fender vintage noisless I've noticed I actually like more than just the neck and bridge position (bridge single coils have always been love hate for me certain styles it works fine with a tone knob available).

    Hi Veen. Nice tone & VERY nice playing. Btw, I'm after a hot & fat PAF humbucker sounding bridge pickup for my Strat. I need to go from Frampton & Van Halen to GnR & Whitesnake. Do you think the JB Jr would work well for all that? (Any insight you can share is very appreciated). Thanks Bud!

    You don’t find the neck model to be to dark and bass heavy? Upper mids and treble slice through pretty well?
    How about harmonics?
    You have it wired for parallel or split, too?

    • @Wouterrj
      @Wouterrj  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have it wired for parallel. I don't find the lead sound too dark or bass heavy, it slices through very well. Clean I do sometimes think it might lacks a bit of clarity or treble. But not always, also depends on what kind of music I am playing.

    How does the JB jr. Neck pickup sound using a clean tone?

    • @Wouterrj
      @Wouterrj  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mike! The clean tone of the neck-pickup is very warm. You can get a kind off jazzy tone from it. I really like it. Maybe if I can find the time I will make a video with this guitar using a clean tone!

    • @danielmelvin4525
      @danielmelvin4525 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Judi from how the lead sounded I'm sure it's nice and warm like the distorted tone was. It also didn't make it sound to much not like a strat either. That's been my only fear with whether I should switch out my neck single coil cause neck single coil has always been the best sound, but I think if you have a humbucker. In the bridge it almost forces you too, u less you play entire songs just on one pickup.
