I know exactly what you mean at the beginning. The background scenery at 0:39 says it all. As far as I know, Switzerland is not that far from Italy and yet you had a culture shock! That shows how culturally diverse countries in Europe are! The fact that each country in Europe has their own culture and different language is just mind blowing! I really hope you visit The Americas and Asia one day……….
I have seen Asia but i wasn't a TH-camr then (Thailand and China) and it's such a shame as I would have loved to film there! Switzerland is my favorite trip as a kid. Most beautiful place I have ever been to. Can’t wait to take my family there. Didn’t realize the cost of living was that much higher. The mountains in the back is so beautiful. The language history you gave really added context to the video. Restrooms are key when traveling. Especially with kids. What a great trip.
Dear Mihaela, thank you for sharing your experiences of culture shock in Lugano. It's interesting to learn about the multilingual aspect of the country, as well as the high cost of living. The connection between Switzerland and cows is quite unique, and I find it amusing that they transport cows in helicopters, hehe. It's also good to know that public transportation runs almost as normal on Sundays, despite most shops being closed. Thank you for sharing! PS: I have some good friends who keep inviting me in Lugano, offering me accommodation there, so we will visit the city soon. If not this year, next year for sure!

The fact that both Italians and Swiss are there together is a good information and as all the other places you really have to spend a lot of time to understand the place and its culture... You have shared the information about this great destination and now its in my bucket list of places to visit..
Ciao Mihaela, davvero interessante questo tuo tour a Lugano per scoprire le diversità e assonanze relative con l'Italia. Premetto che non ho mai visitato il canton Ticino ma ho degli amici che sono Italiani e giornalmente vanno lì per lavoro. Il sentirsi in un paese estero ma con molti Italiani è difficile da capire ma vivendoci ci si adatta a quello che è la diversità della Svizzera con un mix di lingue e culture che si uniscono. Il fattore costi lo conosco ma anche gli stipendi sono molto maggiori di quelli che si percepiscono in Italia svolgendo un lavoro simile o uguale. Due cose mi hanno colpito,il fatto che i negozi la domenica rimangono chiusi e che è difficile trovare tutto quello che in Italia è nella norma come dici il cappuccino o caffè. Il fatto che i servizi pubblici sono di eccellenza una delle cose che la diversificano dallo stivale Italico. Per quanto riguarda il Lago, devo dirti che amo il mare ma ho provato la stessa sensazione in Africa nella Rift Valley quando mi immergevo e nuotavo in acqua dolce e sai dopo un pò mi veniva di chiamarlo mare tanto era grande e non lago. Buona giornata e buon proseguo di settimana.

Allora chiarisco una cosa, il caffè e cappuccino si trovano ma non i cornetti e le brioche in generale. Non e come in Italia che vai in un bar e ne vedi di tutti i colori, no, i bar li sono standard senza la colazione classica Italiana. That's fascinating that you couldn't distinguish the swiss from the italians over there in Ticino. I've been to Zurich and experienced the culture and price shocks 😂. I love your stylish, casual outfit for the vlog. Yes people love to swim in the lakes there. Even in the winter time, i saw people swimming in Lake Zurich in cold waters. As always I truly admire your videos and your solo traveling videos are truly admiring, the views are just stunning and every detail and essence of the place is captured so beautifully... The fact that both Italians and Swiss are there together is a good information and as all the other places you really have to spend a lot of time to understand the place and its culture... Ciao Mihaela, davvero interessante questo tuo tour a Lugano per scoprire le diversità e assonanze relative con l'Italia. Premetto che non ho mai visitato il canton Ticino ma ho degli amici che sono Italiani e giornalmente vanno lì per lavoro. Il sentirsi in un paese estero ma con molti Italiani è difficile da capire ma vivendoci ci si adatta a quello che è la diversità della Svizzera con un mix di lingue e culture che si uniscono. Il fattore costi lo conosco ma anche gli stipendi sono molto maggiori di quelli che si percepiscono in Italia svolgendo un lavoro simile o uguale.
Due cose mi hanno colpito,il fatto che i negozi la domenica rimangono chiusi e che è difficile trovare tutto quello che in Italia è nella norma come dici il cappuccino o caffè. Il fatto che i servizi pubblici sono di eccellenza una delle cose che la diversificano dallo stivale Italico.
Per quanto riguarda il Lago, devo dirti che amo il mare ma ho provato la stessa sensazione in Africa nella Rift Valley quando mi immergevo e nuotavo in acqua dolce e sai dopo un pò mi veniva di chiamarlo mare tanto era grande e non lago.

Allora chiarisco una cosa, il caffè e cappuccino si trovano ma non i cornetti e le brioche in generale. Non e come in Italia che vai in un bar e ne vedi di tutti i colori, no, i bar li sono standard senza la colazione classica Italiana. Del resto si, e come dicevi, aggiungendo che ho sentito una tensione tra svizzeri e Italiani (a volte). Insomma, la solita cosa del residente vs straniero. Grazie per la visita, e bello scambiare opinioni e idee con te. Tante belle cose fino alla prossima volta!
