In 1977 ABC was sniffing around WBAL to make that switch. CBS was upset with WMAR performance as CBS so they went knocking on WBAL. By the end of the 80s into the 90s. WBAL had fallen to third place as CBS & WMAR was #2 also had the Oprah show as a lead- in to 5pm news. Scripps Howard fucked up, they should of left WMAR as NBC. WMAR is trash as ABC. Never cared for WJZ as CBS.
