The 15" version as well as the 12" version will work for FOH , we used 2 per side to do an event outdoors of 600 peeps and worked very well. The 15" version goes lower in response, but same HF driver and amp. You could use for DJ , but you will always want to couple with a subwoofer for those types of events, to not overdrive the 15" speaker.
Yes, they have a socket on the bottom that allows dual purpose. We have used 2 per side for some larger events and they have performed fantastic...always remember to use a sub woofer for DJ mix, since you want the low end. 2 ways boxes are not going to give you a low end mix without a sub...
Once you hit the limiters, that is it. You may want to look at the D15 in the DVA line, has more power and uses the precision RCF drivers and is a fantastic box for the $. We used 2 of the D12 per side and have done 700 peeps for rock....flexsys are good mid level box but you may find you need 2 per side in some situations to get the most from them and not go into hard limiting.
Thanks for the response about the 15" version, i need it for when i play solo keyboard and vocals, 12" doesn't have enough bass, don't need a sub when using it for this purpose but would use a sub when i'm working with 2 or more people.
I used a Flexsys last week for around 150 people and used a behringer ultramizer (just for bass enhancement) the system worked well only a few bass heavy backing tracks sent them into limiting but i monitored closely bringing them down everytime i saw red. Do you know how much headroom is left once these models go into limiting? i'm just demoing these at the moment not sure if i'll buy them i'm wanting to replace my PRX615M's and they are easy the equal to them and with better mids and highs.
You mean the DVX D15 HP? it's an awesome box but 30kg's pretty heavy no can seem to make a box that's loud but light. Will be checking out an FBT EVOMAXX6A Soon hope it has good bass it weighs around 24kg's.
I'm thinking of buying the DVX D12 HP or its bigger brother the DVX D15 to pair it with 2 mackie subs , as i couldn't decide , would someone give me any advice ?
for the $$$ go with the larger D15's...buy once cry once...get as much as you can afford...the D15's have great low end and will combine with the mackie subs very well.
If you can afford the D15, it is a better overall speaker, with better components, better cabinet construction, larger LF voice coil...a more pro speaker. Even though specs are similar for them, the D15 is considered their pro type box.

aca en argentina estan en 3mil dolares caros pero buenisimos tienen una nitidez sorprendente
sí, son un monitor de sonido increíble
How about a review for the 15" version, it will definetely work as a FOH for small live act or DJ.

Cool! Could you do a review of the DVA S20? I'm thinking about buying 2 of these, or waiting till september to get 2 pair of DVA S30's

We will work on this. If you are in the USA and interested. Call us first for pricing. We will beat em all.
Can these also be used as full-range tops for DJ purposes?
Ok to a certain point...once the grille gets saturated it will go into the speaker...
How do these handle the rain?
