The M1 motorway or M1, is an east-west motorway in Pakistan, connecting Peshawar to Islamabad-Rawalpindi. The motorway was constructed by President Pervez Musharraf with cost of Rs. 13bn., and was opened on October, 2007. It spans 155 km, with 88 km in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 67 km in Punjab

Being born in Rawalpindi and a permanent resident of Karachi, it's like the soil of Punjab is ingrained in me as the place always attracts me while giving the feel of peace & tranquility.
As for all the development process, the government has & is still doing superb for which we should all be thankful. However I'm always concerned about all the excavation & tree cutting during the process. Hope the "Plant a Tree" initiative would turn out to be beneficial.
I remember going to Peshawar at the age of five. Bought Atari video game from there 😋😋😋

I like this motorway because it has wide green belt in middle which is very helpful for Drivers at night as lights of opposite traffic do not disturb them
