Hello, I'm from Myanmar and a big fan of AWESOME WORLD but just wanted to point out that at 7:39, the photo shown there is actually the Buddhist Nuns of Myanmar and not students at all 😅 Our general school uniforms is actually White shirts/ Blouses and Green Longyis/ Paso. Every Australian school has a big wide brim hat (including the school I work at). There’s a rule in all schools called “No hat no play” which means you can’t play outside if you don’t have a hat! The UV index in Australia is dangerously high and 1 in 2 Australians will get skin cancer (I’ve already had melanoma and so has both my parents).
Every Australian school? It seems a lot like my primary school uniform, my high school uniform is sortaa similar to the ones from US. The people around me don't really wear hats probably cos we're too lazy but yeah that's probably not very good haha.

School uniforms in Brazil are mainly white t-shirts (with the name of the school) and blue shorts. The colors might change, but not the T-shirt and shorts. If it's cold, they let you wear your own pants and/or jackets/sweatshirts, but the school tshirt is mandatory! Not very cute or fashionable but it's comfortable. ☺️
I don't know how it is now, but when I was a student in Brazil, they did gave us pants to go with the rest of the uniform, but they were made of a very light fabric (it was dark blue and matched the details on the t-shirt). The problem was, during winter, people would choose to wear their own pants because jeans was thicker, so they would cut the uniform pants into shorts to wear on summer days. 😄

I went to at least 4 different schools and one of them had two versions for the t-shirt, a white one with the school's name on the left chest written in black letters and a full black one with the school's name but with white letters. And that's all, we used to wear jeans.

As a Russian myself i can say that this photo is incorrect to use when talking about modern uniform, because nobody wears it daily already. This type of uniform can be seen only on graduation day as some kind of a tribute to tradition (but i know not so much people who would like to wear it these days. I graduated 4 years ago, and only one girl from two classes actually was dressed in it) or, as someone in this video noticed, when said it looks 'sexy', it may be used in specific genre of movies as a fetish 🙁

am from Kenya, I can relate but our uniforms depends on one's religion and belief, and sometimes depends on how you anger your parents especially your mum, and other times the type of school you are in. most private schools in Kenya their uniforms are similar to that of UK and China, while public schools are very strict on the length of the uniform and sometimes looks buggy for both genders

As a guy having lived in Russia for last 5 years, that's actually the old Soviet era uniform, now they wear it only during the graduation after 9th. In russia theres no 12th. I might be wrong but so far that's what my local friends said.

I'm hurt by the African uniform one. How come that was the only uniform from Africa? We are so diverse and my uniforms have never looked like that ever and I've lived in several different countries there. Like in Zimbabwe there is also hats apart of the uniform with every school and in South Africa most schools have blazers. I just wish you'd shown more of the different uniforms we have

A lot of the British school uniforms not consist of a “kilt”/black trousers, tank top, tie and blazer having moved on from black skirts and jumpers.

The second uk uniform on this video was very specific to one school and I think from Christ’s Hospital School in Horsham, I used to know someone who went there!
I agree, that pretty much is the uniform from Christ's Hospital. I live nearby to the school and any time I see the uniform im fascinated by it as so different from regular uniforms
The Myanmar school uniform shown here aren't the majority uniform. That's a "monk school type" uniform which is 1/2% only.
Green Pants/wraparound & white shirt is kind of the official school uniform colour in Myanmar. The same colour pattern is sometimes worn by the teachers too.
In my country, showing thigh is considered sexual (traditionally and colonialists era) so very rarely do uniforms for girls have short skirts/dresses . So knee length school uniform are the norm. Nowadays it's not that strict but there's a limit. I also don't know what obsession the colonialists here had with the colour brown but regardless of what uniform colour is dominant, e.g red, blue, green, purple etc there is always khaki or brown somewhere

I agree with you, people think African as a whole is poor but it isn’t. There’s a new and old side, just like every single country. Put America taught people that it’s so poor and it needs help or never will develop, which was literally because of them but they want to make themselves look good. That picture seem stereotypical because people think Africans are just poor, and etc. They don’t know Africa is diverse and there’s many types of cultures and skin colors, and even races.

India is like too diverse to put in any category I mean In my school we have pants no skirts and in the government school and college people can wear their tribal attire. And different parts have different uniform.btw I'm from northeast so there are many tribes
Different schools in India have different uniforms. In my school in India we don't have skirt, we wear a shirt inside along with a tunic dress on it. We have Salwar, skirt shirt, skirt pant dresses and even sarees. In some schools In some schools in India both girls and boys were shirt and pant.
That's exactly what comes to my mind when I think of Indian school uniforms. For the private ones at least. I had to wear a white shirt, a knee-length skirt, white/grey stockings and shorts. But different schools have different uniform styles. The uniform category is kinda diverse. We've got salwar-kameez, skirts, pants and tunic uniforms. There are co-ed schools who have adopted unisex uniforms too which is basically boys uniform worn by girls.
Africa is a continent, once again, and even my school uniform in Nigeria is not this bad 😂😂😂😂 and we really don’t live in Mud house’s when will this change?

I am from India and our school uniform is a navy blue t-shirt paired with navy blue denim jeans for summer, and for winter we wear a dark blue hoodie over the t-shirt also paired with the blue denim jeans.
I would say India has many types of uniforms varying from salwar suit(the traditional style), to shirts, t-shirts,skirts, jeans, dress etc.

Thank you Joy for mentioning the Czech Republic several times in this video. 🌸 A lot of people have no idea this country exists. As a citizen of the Czechia, I can only say that uniforms are not normally worn here. There are exceptions for private schools, but they are very few.

In Norway we do not have any school uniforms. It was a debate about if we were gonna have them or not, but it ended up with a no for the uniforms. They wanted to allow people to express themselves through clothes. We are and were very happy about that.

Africa and the UK have so many uniforms and this also depends on the school. Private and grammar schools have different uniform to the public schools.
This video is stereotypical, why did you guys do the school uniform for that of Africa? Africa is a continent so there’s different types of cultures,religions,races, and etc. Africa isn’t just poor but there’s rich side to it aswell, there’s a new and old side to it like every single country in the world but people focus on the poor. The whole African continent doesn’t look like that, and it ISNT a country. There’s many different countries inside of Africa, you guys could’ve shown those cultural instead of poor photos to place as a image of the whole country

Another thing , I never heard you mentioning one country to represent the whole of the other continents, and by the way we are more woke ,educated and open-minded. So as you show your nice uniforms from private schools you need to know that we have good schools, both public and private schools. Gone are the days when we would keep quiet whenever you would choose to narrate our story. And am mad because it's not just the uniform but the picture you chose as a whole. We have schools with nice buildings. Next time you mention anything from Kenya/any African country or AFRICA as a whole, you better do it with RESPECT!!!!!

In my school we also had a separate PE (Games) dress which was a T shirt and trousers for both boys and girls. And if you're the part of sports team then you can wear small shorts (for both boys and girls) but you have to change it before practice you can't just wear it in class.

My school uniform the skirts had to cover your knees, we had to wear three quarters sleeves, a tie and a waistcoat ( vest ), the shoes had to be plain black with no added anything and navey blue or black socks and your hair had to be comb in plats of no more than three. All this clothing in the tropical heat.
We have to wear full trousers and shirts in summer lol

in my us school, we have a light blue collared shirt with buttons, and navy blue pants. girl have a choice to wear pants or skirt, but i prefer pants.
we also can choose our shoes and socks, just we can’t wear mary janes.

For my school in the US the uniform was just some cakey pants and a navy blue or white collared shirt. Jackets had to be the navy blue or white as well and they did not allow you to have any sort or logos or patterns on them. This applies to both boys and girls. But in high school we get to wear whatever we wanted to. For example you could even wear pj's to school. I've even seen some people with slippers on and at one point some girl decided that it would be good day to wear a swimsuit to school. It's pretty crazy over here.😅

Some 미국 public schools have uniforms too. For some it's issued by the school but for others they tell you what colors/fabrics/styles are approved and if you don't wear it they have really ugly sets of sweatpants and shirts that you have to change into.
For example in Long Beach, California 미국 my kids have to wear black bottoms of any kind except: leggings, short skirts, ripped up jeans. For tops, they can be red, blue, white, black or grey. But they can't have logos, patterns, no crop tops, no spaghetti straps or sleeveless. Students can have some individuality. They mainly do this because gangs in our area have certain colors associated with them. Fights between gang members would happen at school when they saw someone wearing rival gang colors. The high schools also have metal detectors and we live in a pretty nice area. They're in middle school now, I'm really worried about 2 years from now.

From the state I come from india we usually have skirts and t-shirts for girls till 8th or 10th grade (depending on school) and from 9th or 11th u will wear salwar kamiz but do not have dupata but vascit, but a few have dupata but majority do not guys usually have white shirt with school logo and long pants ( adult guys and short pants for kids) and in winter it's full pants, we usually have coats in winters (like one u see in dark academia and old english movies) and the facts that girls can too shift to boys dress code in winters or anytime its do not matter. Plus we have uniform like china for both girls and boys but we only wear that on staurday and Wednesday (some schools it's only Saturday) we say it house dress actually u are arranged in certain houses assigned by school of different colour, like u are red, u are yellow, u are blue and u are green we most of the time have these 4 major house and teacher assign us in which house we want to be in

in my school in India is a skirt-overall and a shirt uniform and for higher classes which I am in is a kurta with a shawl but both of the uniforms have to be blue and dark blue
In the Philippines, there are so many types of uniform. Every school in every region and provinces differs. There is no specific type of school uniform in the country.

School uniforms are not used in Scandinavia 😊 Sweden has a few schools who use them. Personally I had never seen a person where one.
9:35 That navy blue one looks almost identical to my high school’s uniform in the US😂 I went to an all girls Catholic high school.
The top half is exactly the same but the skirts were pleated and I think 90% of students would get the bottom of the skirt hemmed so it would be at the knees or a little bit above the knees. Ours had pockets in the skirt as well and many students would have them altered and line the pockets with a fun patterned fabric so it would be like a peekaboo design
I went to Catholic school as well. (Class of 81) We wore plaid pleated skirts with white blouse or navy pants and white blouse. Those skirts better not be too short as I have seen hems torn out. 😂

We don't wear such uniform in Russia. Actually we don't have specific uniform at all... Usually we just need to fit in special color palette. Like in my first school we should have been wearing pink and grey. And in my current school we can wear black or dark blue and white. That's all.

In India in my state famous school/highschool have very good uniform & they also have sports uniform Separate which look cool pulse every one same shoes then highersecondary some have basic kurta and pajama,dupatta then some have very fancy uniform

In Brazil, it is not a rule to have a uniform. I attended a school that was not mandatory, just for celebrations. After a while, they made uniforms which were a white T-shirt with an embroidery of the name of the institution and the name of the student on the back.
I like your channel, but I'm a little disappointed that you didn't find accurate information about school uniforms in Russia, you just inserted the first photo from Google. In Russia, no one has been wearing such a uniform for a long time. We go in uniform only to the graduation of the 9th and 11th grades as a tribute to tradition, but even then she does not look as depraved as in this photo. My school uniform is pant shirt tie socks shoes , all over in school , boys and girls have same uniform even shoes are same .
The thing about Hijabs/Tudung, women/girls don't wear it at home if they are with thier household members.
They wear it when there is a visitor or they're going out.
I'm a little bit disappointed that Singapore's school uniform isn't included but we have too many school uniforms for all different schools so, I'm sure you guys can't choose one to represent our country.

Eu ia falar que faltou o Brasil, mas aí lembrei que o uniforme não é padrão, que depende de cada região do país, e de estado pra estado, e tem lugar que nem uniforme tem, cada um vai com a roupa que quiser 😅
Exatamente. Por muito tempo a minha escola ficou sem uniforme, apenas uma camiseta que quase não era usada. Depois resolveram fazer, quando eu estava quase me formando no Ensino Fundamental.

We have that patern on skirt school uniform here in the Philippines
Ig in north India they wear a lot of salwar ig but here in south india they normally don't wear salwar for school .we wear skirts (in my place skirts are common)

I somehow find this irritating because they only show European and some parts of Asia and am African and i know a lot of uniforms from different photos in Africa and i just don't know what to say really 😔😔
In fact, those clothes are what Myanmar nuns have to wear day to day, not Myanmar students wear everyday. We have to wear white shirt and green longyi to school. Just a fact check.
