      Hi there and thank you for watching. I used to use the expandable sleeving years and years ago, when I was an apprentice electrical engineer, I started as a panel wireman when I was 16 years old, oh that’s going back some years 🤣😂. Anyway, it’s a cheap and cheerful cable management item, available in different sizes for all your cable tiding needs. There is also a spiral wrap too, for those cable management, where you cannot thread the cables through a sleeve. Take care, keep well and all the very best. 😊😉😊

    Another good one to use it the small spiral wrap. It is really nice when have wires coming in at different locations down the length of the loom. Both are great ways to tidy up wiring and make things look nicer and sometime much more safer.

    • @JF-RC
      @JF-RC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Addam, thank you for watching my short video. I used to use that spiral wrap too, when I was an electrical engineer years ago. It’s good cable management too. A bit more rigid than the expandable sleeve, but easier to add wiring and like you say, when you have multiple cable entries. You can gently snip a hole in the side of the expandable sleeving, if you have 1 or 2 cable entries, but if more, then the spiral wrap is a better choice, great tip though. Take care, keep well and all the very best to you and the family 😉😊😉

      Hi there and thank you for watching. The size I’ve used is the 6mm (when flat) can 6 pairs (10-12) LED small wires through, but you need to take off the plugs at one end. You can buy bigger sizes, maybe 10mm (when flat) but not too large, otherwise the loom looks baggy / empty. I got mine from Amazon for just under £3.50 for a 5m length. Take care, keep well and all the very best 😊😉😊

      Hi there, more than welcome. This expandable sleeving I got from Amazon for £3.49 (6mm size) a larger size is available for more or bigger cables, but for small LED wiring, this size worked well, just took the connectors off and fed them through 😉 take care, keep well and all the very best to you and the family 😊😉😊

    Cool! You know what else works good that silicone self fusing tape you go around the wires and it sticks to it's self only unlike electrical tape that will stick to the wires also.

    • @JF-RC
      @JF-RC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Steve, thank you for watching my short video. I’ve heard of that self fusing tape too, thanks for the extra tip. I suppose that would be better for a permanent wiring solution, whereas the expandable sleeve, depending on the size of the expandable sleeve, you can add more wires into the loom, or remove, making it a flexible solution. Take care, keep well and all the best to you and the family 😊😉😊
