🙏 The exquisite design & the soothing but powerful sound of the V12 Supermarine engine of this Mark IX Supermarine Spitfire is just magical! It was a Spitfire that started my love for aircraft modelling till this day! 🙏 Thank You So Much Sir RJ Mitchell , the Supermarine engine manufacturer , British War Museum & Lieutenant Sir Anthony Parkinson MBE for sharing this magnificently preserved Mark IX Supermarine Spitfire with the fans of the world! ... 🌷🌿🌍💜🕊🇬🇧
Parky, is a great spokesperson for Aero Legends, with his undoubted love of flying and the display world
So well said Spitfire still holds everyone’s imagination.
Oh, right, not that Typhoon then!
Absolutely exquisite >>> RAF Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX 🇬🇧 ...
Top guy …!
Are there actually replica guns (of similar or identical weights) in the wings?? Or no guns? If the latter, wouldn't it be a different plane, balance-wise, and of course performance-wise?
This is the version with the "2 x 20 mil / 2 x .50 cal" armament, I see. Probably the best choice overall, 1 50 cal being superior armament to 2 .303 cals, I would think. Of course, "4 x 20 mil" would be ideal, though it came with a significant performance loss no doubt.
Flew with Parky in the 2 seater Spitfire 'Elizabeth' this summer - couldn't have been in better hands if anything had gone wrong.....! 😂
Parky .. you lucky bastard... Ive only sat in the Spit " handled her controls , staggeringly smooth and light for mechanical systems i was astounded by her silky feline grace, but you sir u get to release the beast that hides inside her... #NOnotjealousatall .... 🤣👍🙏
I honestly thought he was going to compare it with the Hawker Typhoon.
