    Guys, I don't know what you are talking about. This girl is slaying vocally! The song is another story, it's always about personal taste, but her vocals are on point.

      I understand them. She does have strong vocals, she sings well yeah but I think she’s doing too much, to the point its irritating.

    Can't lie because of how vocally amazing she is, this is one of my favourite songs of the contest. Live and all, unlike so many other this year, she can actually sing.
    All the runs, and the chaos of it all made me really enjoy it. It's not traditionally Eurovision, but that's why I like it, I like that in the more recent years our winners have not been like the traditional garish Eurovision sound, but more modern and appealing to people who are young. At least compared to a ballad like bridges, I feel like this has a much better chance.
    It's a shame that you guys didn't enjoy this one as much though, still, it was nice having you all discuss your opinions on it. Seemed a bit short compared to your other discussions, but I put that up to the overwhelmingly meh vibe it seemed to give off to you.

    It's funny you guys had such different experiences with her voice. For me it's a really pleasant voice and it even gives me goosebumps at points. I think she completely sells the song - it's about overcoming mental health struggles, if I understand correctly - and I think it's really cathartic

    This song has been UNDERRATED AS HELL by the community - some have put it in their bottom three...but Dilja is a DARK HORSE and carries the song live! I find the song EXTREMELY relatable in terms of lyrics. I have lately had issues with someone personally IRL and the song helped me get through the aftermath of it! The song is so catchy in the studio version as well!

    Hmm, I'm not sure what you guys are talking about with the vocal thing. She sounds great and incorporates vocal dynamics really well with the light/soft and grit towards the end. And she hit the runs nicely too. Of course you don't have to like her voice, but technically she is very good.

    This is such an underrated bop! Incredible vocals for me. I think the lyrics about reclaiming power and "taking your flowers" while you can is empowering (pardon the pun) and thoroughly enjoy the vibe.

    This is not a reaction, review or critics this is plain and simple mockery. Your opinion is totally out numbered. This is not my number one bud she can sing and this song will go to my gym list that's for sure.

    At first listen I found this to be a forgettable pop song. But gotta say, Diljá is a hell of a live performer, so with the weaker Semifinal 2, she might be a surprise qualifier. I don't love her voice timbre, but respect the physicality of what she's doing, being able to move around that much without getting out of breath.

    An okayish song, but it doesn’t feel like Iceland took a risk this year. It would’ve been a smarter choice to sing in Icelandic. Right now, I’m not too optimistic about their qualification chance.

    • @jasonburmeister4746
      @jasonburmeister4746 ปีที่แล้ว

      I find it interesting that people expect Iceland to take a risk to be competitive. While Sweden who produces just another pop song is well ahead of everyone else and is probably going to win. Why do some countries have to step out of the box to get a chance at possible top 5 while others win with the same things they've done before?

    Wow one of the very few videos (excluding Moldova ones) where Tyler is the most positive out of the group HAHA
    This is a weird song for me I hadn't focused on the icelandic national final, so when I heard it I was surprised with how good it was and since I've forgotten about it and its slid down my top.
    However, it coulddddddddddddddddddd, qualify it is in the MUCH weaker semi-final. It has a chance

    I do think she has a good live voice and the song isn’t terrible.
    Somehow I don’t connect with it though. It’s a lot of runs singing power which makes it a little too repetitive for me. The melody is also very elusive and I struggle to remember it.
    I doubt it will qualify, even if it is in the easier, second semi final - this seems more jury friendly than televote magnet.
    I do think she is a very competent vocalist but I just don’t enjoy the song.

      @@teukka623 It's no hate haha, this year isn't very strong in my opinion, a few standouts but majority don't have songs catered well for eurovision. You're right one of them did say 'why am I liking all the songs this year' but another of them said 'man this is a tough year for me' so idk haha

    Funny enough, my husband really likes her voice, and I can't stand it for all the reasons you guys mentioned. Because of that, I find this song difficult to listen to, let alone enjoy, but the hubby thinks it's really good. Amazing how subjective music really can be 😁

    This to me is a big step down from the last 4 Iceland entries (counting 2020 as one). Hatari, Daði Freyr and Systur all brought something interesting to the contest. This... this is astonishingly safe and cookie cutter in comparison.

    • @TheManInBlueFlames
      @TheManInBlueFlames ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Last year was a step down, this year is a step up, but year not Hatari OR Dadi, though it's not exactly 'safe'. Celebs should have won the whole thing, though Dilja really WAS good!

    I don't like the dull song. or the cringe vocal, or the grandpa styling, or the prancing around, or the cartoon hair, or the dry ice, or the lying down, or her English pronunciation, or the body reveal. - Still, good luck Iceland!
