Firstly we aren’t ALL 80% African, to claim that is incredibly incorrect. Secondly, you’re attempting to erase us, our heritage, our culture and struggle here in the U.S.. Our percentage of African, European and Native American are all varying. All of the Africans who I’ve met tell me that they wouldn’t even consider me black but when I’m around my people, they KNOW me. There are Africans at my job (I work in healthcare) who believe that I am Hispanic 😂 I haven’t told them yet but what they do is play “they not like us” a lot and pretend to be us. We have documents on some of our people Passing as white. Some of us, like myself and my family you can see our NATIVE blood in us, plus there is something called the DAWES rolls. What you guys want to do is pick and choose who will fit with you guys and SEPARATE the rest of us from our own people. We are our own “tribe” who share the ancestors that you guys sold. I think we have more in common with the “COLORED” people in Africa, I was told by Africans that, that is what I’d be considered. Many of our ancestors were mulatto, including myself and family but with 2 black (mulatto) parents and grandparents. Yes we started from Africa! And I am proud of that. My ancestors fought to stay alive so that we could be here although they went through terrible things and YOU guys threw them away. Please know that we are our own people. Don’t disrespect us, take care of Africa

Black American history more nuanced than that. Our foreparents was lost to a culture based on free independent people culture. That whole culture was based on a chattel system and the harsh reality of the plantation system. They couldn't be a " people" all they way. We still in the same chattel culture, just a 20th century version.

When Africans say we don't know what country we come from. We have to emphasize the point that none of the countries that exist in Africa today existed when the trans-Atlantic slave trade happened. So, we don't trace the African side of our ancestry to any country in Africa, because those countries did not exist and were created during and post colonization. It's that simple.

Native or Indigenous people of the Western Hemisphere (also known asIndians)didnot refer to themselves or their ancestors as Indian. There was no such country as the Congo. This ignorant man from the country of Congo stated we don't know what country we come from. Well, all the countries that exist in Africa today were formed post the trans Atlantic slave trade. It's asinine to claim a country or different countries that exist today in Africa that our African ancestors were never from in the first place. That's the point Adonis is making. When it comes to our African ancestors, they were taken from UNIFIED KINGDOMS, EMPIRES, or CHIEFDOMS that don't exist anymore and they were taken all across West, West-Central, and Central Africa. It was a period of disintergration, upheaval, people running to places or locations for safety to prevent being captured by slave raiders (dislocation), and wars during the trans-Atlantic Slave trade. Therefore, it makes no sense to trace our African ancestors to individual countries that our ancestors did not come from, especially when they came from SEVERAL REGIONS NOT ONE. It covers everyone in our ancestry to mention REGIONS vs. COUNTRIES. Continental Africans and their immigrant children sound very unintelligent when making that statement. Just dense.

American black culture is definitely a big influence on black people around the globe but wasn't the only influence. Jamaican and Carribbean culture was the biggest influence in the uk for black people by far it's not even close. Africans in the UK had a hard time 70s, 80s ,90s and even earlier 00s because being African wasn't kl. everyone wanted to be Jamaican and the small amount of people that tried to act American were clowned crazy. African people learned to themselves openly and now African culture is massive, also Nowadays American culture is much more widely accepted as well. I refuse to entertain the ignorance someone chooses to have about our history. I love our African cousins but for me, all the groups of blacks in the western hemisphere that are descendants of the Trans Atlantic Slave trade, have some of the most influential cultures in the world, food, music, dance, take your pick. No one on this side of the planet has time to concern themselves with the happenings of another’s country. There is too much going on in our day to day here on this side of the world. Although we are supposed to be descendants of Africans who were sold into slavery. After 500 years we are not you and yet we know where we are from. Hundreds of years of blood, sweat, tears and torture. I would say that it’s 100% disrespectful to say you’re not apart of something your family helped build up. Adonis......what you are doing by having these discussions is a goodthing. But you need also to realise how WRONG you can be. 1) All Black people originally came from Africa. The man was right. I don't understand why you are arguing with that fact. 2) You also talk about"fleeing" a country. I have heard this from some black Americans say this to immigrants. And you use this in a way of an insult. If you studied black American history, you guys have a history of "fleeing". Why do you think there were black people in Canada during slavery? Why when the American gov. passed the fugitive slave act, this cause many black Americans to go up north (Canada) and elsewhere? So this idea of Africans having a history of fleeing. again this is NOT TRUE, Black Americans have a history of fleeing too. Third point, "Congo" already existed way before the America existed. That man was right and you are TOTALLY WRONG. Your information on Congo/africa is mainly on Western point of view and not an African point of view. Congo ( or KONGO - original word) also existed way before the Berlin Conference 1884 . So for you to debate a Congolese man about Congo itself and you not even knowing the full TRUE history of KONGO, the many kingdoms of Kongo (which most STILL exist TODAY), is really rude and insulting at your end. I think you need to learn to control your emotions and accept when you are wrong. America was built on a "stolen land" and your ancestors were forced to build America against their will. And they came from Africa. You not accepting this true history and not even understanding how black Americans, Africans, Caribbeans are ONE RACE of people is VERY PROBLEMATIC. When that man said we are Black, again he was right. Why are you arguing with this? Just because we are different (culturally), this does not mean we are "divided". And I think in your videos, you are really pushing this "division" too much.

All black people don't recently come from Africa, which I think your statements intends to suggest. People with black phenotypes are among the most diverse in humanity on a genetic and historical level. If we're being technical, as Adonis said, yes all people have theoretical origins in Africa. But to refute your racialist perspective, consider a Southern Italian or Spaniard has more genetically in common with a random West African than does a highly 'black'-appearing native of the Andaman or Solomon Islands. All of the European 'race' nonsense has to die some day. We all have unique tribes, ancestries, and communities, and all of humanity belongs to "ONE RACE"
