Nomak was 1 of those multi layered antagonists in all comic books films. He didn't just kill for the sake of killing but understood the fact that he was dangerous and felt pain/betrayed from his dad/family. So he killed to survive and when he inserted that blade all the way in he knew that was the time to check out. Damn he also gave Blade a run for it's money. Great film

I've always loved how Snipes and the filmmakers weren't afraid to show Blade on the receiving end of a good beatdown.🤣🤣 Blade's the better and more experienced fighter and tactician, but Nomak still comes close to winning out of sheer strength and ferocity. I love the final stagger and slump by Blade at the end of the fight, it really gives the impression his victory was a last ditch effort. Too many times, especially in a lot of modern movies, the hero walks away without so much as breaking a sweat. It's refreshing and adds a lot more emotional weight when it feels like we just watched an actual struggle.
Man, they put a lot of conscious effort into choreographing the first two blade film fights. Especially here. It emulates a real fight as well as great martial arts. The rough and rugged brawl style, fused with impeccable form. It showcases both of the fighters fighting styles authentically. Blade’s precision meets a Nomak’s Brawl style. Blade is even forced to brawl in parts, in order to regather and find some kind of control. It’s actually brilliant. Shows just how smart Blade really is. Genius film.

I watched Blade 2 for the first Time when I was 13. Now I am 32 and I am still loving this movie and appreciate every scene. This is the movie why I like Guillermo del toro so much as an director.
I thought the fight held up well besides the CGI. Weird nonsense angles and bendy models. Didn't really make sense when Blade was getting tossed around.

All the models were seamlessly working together and there was no “wErId NoNsENsE aNgLes” or “bEndY moDeLs” as all the angles were very dynamic for the fight to have high intense energy. It DID make sense when blade was getting tossed around as the CGI worked really well!
This was one of my favorite fight scenes of all time. Out of all the opponents who blade faced off with, it was nomak who gave him a serious challenge. Hell he damn near beat him. That was impressive
Notice how there's no jokes and the fight gets all the attention it needs. No cutting back and fourth between scenes. Those elements need to return in the mcu.
Blade always looks invincible the whole movie until the final fight. No one even comes close and then he’s always losing the final fight but manages to win. Good stuff.
This movie is 20 years old and still hold up. The shots from the CGI doubles to the actors switch is done so well and transitions so smoothly. Honestly, that’s how much CGI should be used. So overused nowadays.
I love how messy it gets. The first movie had great fights to but they felt to clean and stylized, this was so much for raw and felt more realistic despite still being a super powered vampire fight. Amazingly done

2022 Still hype about the best fight in the Blade trilogy. The CGI to real scenes transitions, the choreography, the martial arts, Nomak fighting style and of course a mesmerizing performance by Wesley Snipes at his peak. This scene ages like wine.
Would have loved to see a duel between Nomak and Dracula, the 2 ultimate Badass Villains. Would be a close fight. My money would be on Nomak as he clearly defeated Blade with unbelievable skill and regenerative powers. Amazed Blade hung on as long as he did in the fight. Then again, La Magra Frost posses a tremendous speed that even Blade cannot even react to, and I doubt Drake is faster than Blade. Plus he can regenerate his severed body parts pretty easily, So Frost have the speed advantage and regeneration. With all that being said, according to the official Blade Wiki, Frost was killed using 5 serum of EDTA Anticoagulants, which would explode if mixed with a normal vampire's blood. It doesn't work the same way with Blade and it even feeds him like blood would. With Drake, he was killed with the Daystar virus. The doctor that made it stated that there's nothing, NOTHING that could ever harmed or kill Drake except for the virus which were mixed with HIS own blood. Imagine that, the only thing that was strong enough to destroy your blood is your own blood. Now in combat, Drake in his base form would probably struggle with Frost at first since base Drake is equal to Blade, and Frost would just outspeeds him, not to mention that just slicing up his body won't work. But the instant Drake transformed into his true demonic form, there's not much that Frost could do, as Drake is far stronger and more durable to be damaged. Drake on the other hand, could potentially kill Frost since his vampire genetics is far, far more potent than any vampires. I doubt Frost even with La Magra would survive getting bitten by Demon form Drake. So yeah, sorry if this too long, just wanted to share some info.

I love how blade finally meets a vampire his equal. What great choreography between the two main leads. Unlike a.lot of fights tells a great story about the 2 main leads.
from the very beginning, nomak seek out blade to be the one to give him the proper death he deserves, he considered the enemy of his enemy his only friend, in some ways he assisted blade by keeping whistler alive, killing off the soldiers that held blade hostage only for the final standoff to decide weather he lives in constant pain or fight with honor and die in peace, and here it is nomak got his wish , pain is no more and nomak had the last laugh. nomak really wasn't a villain , if anyone had noticed,nomak killed the true villain of this story, his father. neesa and nomak , brother and sister died a beautiful death.
Such a great fight scene. On my top 5! The fight goes both ways. They each get their licks in. Wesley showing some dog fighting skills The choreography is just awesome. Now days it's always the same. Villian kicks ass for 90% of the fight and the good guy gets lucky at the very end

I am still very impressed with the CGI in this well choreographed fight. It's very fluid despite it's age. Very good.

What I really like about this movie is that there are two bad guys that are fighting between each other and Blade is caught in between them.

I love how blade finally meets a vampire his equal. What great choreography between the two main leads. Unlike a.lot of fights tells a great story about the 2 main leads.

Nomak was a great villain and the only one who technically whooped Blade's ass lol.
Wish he had more screen time and not so much exposition on his character

from the very beginning, nomak seek out blade to be the one to give him the proper death he deserves, he considered the enemy of his enemy his only friend, in some ways he assisted blade by keeping whistler alive, killing off the soldiers that held blade hostage only for the final standoff to decide weather he lives in constant pain or fight with honor and die in peace, and here it is nomak got his wish , pain is no more and nomak had the last laugh. nomak really wasn't a villain , if anyone had noticed,nomak killed the true villain of this story, his father. neesa and nomak , brother and sister died a beautiful death.
Yep, I think Nomak wanted to die even prior to finishing his business with his father. Dude was more of a tragic victim then a villain

Such a great fight scene. On my top 5! The fight goes both ways. They each get their licks in. Wesley showing some dog fighting skills The choreography is just awesome.
Now days it's always the same. Villian kicks ass for 90% of the fight and the good guy gets lucky at the very end
With all that fighting, slamming and breaking bones the only thing that survives more than Blade is his sunglasses. Its immortal..
