He also could have said no I'm not interested when she came looking for him, but he didn't he stood tall and accepted responsibility for what happened and said yes to a reunion when he very well could have walked away
This deadbeat dad is difficult for me to feel anything but distrust about. He knew where she was all those years, and didn't even write her. I can understand his need to come home to get a job. But that's not a good enough reason to let his little girl grow up without a dad. He seems quite shallow. He's more about "You're beautiful" than "I'm sorry." He even had the audacity to say, "If there's anything to forgive me for"!!!

i truly find comfort in this show. my father had 2 children with a woman(not my mom) and they were adopted. (im only 18) they would be 5&7 today. i think about them daily and can't wait for the day i get to meet them again.
He ran aways from child support. He was just happy to pay for a pair of boots. He doesn't look like he wanted to be in her life. He is lucky his daughter is so forgiving . I'm hoping he doesn't hurt her again
Not even decent boots ,but rubber wellies. Shame on him for not keeping his promise to return. I imagine that every single day she was waiting for him to return. She was very forgiving. Personally I don't think that I would have gone looking for such a father.😢
Yes! Being raised as only children then discover you have two sisters how wonderful. I'm the middle of three sisters and we had so many good times together. So happy for them😍
O my goodness! The love & excitement of these 3 sister's, coming together, after all these years, & especially surviving the horrible war, is a true true miracle! I almost fell off my chair crying happy tears for them! God is so good! 💞
Why did your god create that horrible war in the first place? Why does your god allow children to be hurt and killed and injured and abducted and molested?
Both stories were amazing. But the 3 sisters is indeed a testimony that life definitely gives us 2nd chances & is never too late to start again even if it takes years.. Kleenex should sponsor this show! Damn.. makes me cry every single time..
Probably lonelier. I have never worried about being an only. It makes you stronger and resilient. But to be in a family of siblings who don't fit together must be misery, even damaging to the psyche. My partner was one of 10,with 3 stepsisters, and the 9 were the most dysfunctional bunch of basket cases it has been my misfortune to meet. We split and broke contact completely when the parents died.

He disappeared, essentially changed his name to avoid being found, didn’t provide support - financially or otherwise - didn’t send letters or cards, didn’t reach out after the creation via social media, NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! He doesn’t seem remorseful at all. He seems practiced and staged. Just yuck all the way around and a beautiful young mother that deserves sooooooo much more.

Even thought all these reunion stories are touching, I keep thinking how the parents who skipped out on their parental responsibilities- financial and emotional- are basically just big jerks.
@@DeeSol28 Feckless, selfish waste of space. I hope he has done better by the 19 year old. Funny how the wife opened the door then disappeared. Yet the daughter's husband was there for her and their son all the way through. THAT is a Father and husband.
And he said he could either be unemployed in the UK or go back to the states and “seek employment”, which means he didn’t have a guaranteed job either way. I could understand if his visa was going to expire but I would think he’d say that if that was the case. Either way, there’s no excuse for leaving without a word to explain himself
So this man just did not contact his daughter for 20 years? Even if he didn't have the money to go back to the UK, write a letter or make a phone call. How is it that you have your DNA just out there and didn't think to find her? I have so much resentment towards fathers like this. I am sorry.
All I have to say about you 3 beautiful sister's, is, if either of you or any of your family members are reading these comments, I would love to see updates about your life together! OR maybe even a documentary or reality show of you three together! Your story and union is just phenomenal! Enjoy each other forever! God Bless you All! 💞💞💞
Oh my, the three sisters! They are the missing pieces that fit together perfectly! I'm so happy that this young lady was able to meet her father and have her relationship with him restored.
It always amazes me how these men can father children, just walk out, never contact them, never spend a penny for their support, and get a total pass on the whole thing. He never loved her, or he would have stayed in her life and helped her grow. He is just relieving his guilt. At least he has some guilt.
Indeed, my "sperm shooter" left my mother the minute he heard she was pregnant, and he never loked back or wanted anything to do with her or me. I don't have any reason to go searching for this coward, and I don't understand anyone who would.
Me too. I watch a lot of shows like this-and there are so many men that will start looking for the kids they abandoned once they are adults. That way they don’t have to help or pay for raising them. It’s incredibly selfish and it pisses me off.
Or at least set up an account in her name in america for when she turned 18 or 21. That money wouldve grown in interest for her now as an adult especially with the baby
The Dad in the episode just makes me feel so grateful and blessed that my Dad never bailed on me or my mom (like my older siblings' dad did them). Even when my parents got a divorce, I was 13/14, my Dad was still around 70-90% of the time. And the other 10-30% was him being at work, his own home and living/rebuilding his life. Although he respected their divorce, it felt like they werent divorced bc he didnt leave away from me, not even my mom💕
M M I had a flash of one of them walking up to the others as just a waist down person! They are so very blessed to be whole or half. At least they have one another now!
To me, it's clear that she didn't mean any offense - she probably wanted to communicate the fact that she had a sister who had one parent different from her. Still a sister but if you track it on a family tree, it is technically a different relation as far as lineage is concerned.
I don’t believe she was making that distinction like she wasn’t just a sister, you have to remember she knows she has a different father, she’s just making that clear. She knew nothing of her father or anybody.. how sad 😢
Ohh how I love the 3 sisters met each other. I have 4 sisters and we feel each other heartbeat there hurts, there happiness and the children so beautiful, big close family 1 older brother ❤
I can only add this: I’m old, and ill, and live each day in hope tomorrow will be better. It does happen sometimes. Or, tomorrow becomes a week, then months, even years, while I work to keep myself alive and live for tomorrow. The older you get, the more life‘s like this. Things, even important ones, get lost and put off. I was a hospice volunteer who helped people at the end of their lives resolve issues like this. I’m facing the truth that I myself will soon need that help. Please try to imagine what complications others face, or at least accept there are things we will never understand.
Brutus Tan indeed. Women and Mothers have much more to do with the loss of Dads that had once known their children than we seem willing to admit. Mine engaged in major premeditated deception to erase mine... it devastated me when I found out she’d lied to me about him, and left me me with no one at all. She loved no one but herself.
Really? His excuses were pretty lame. He needed to get a job. What was to stop him getting a job in the UK and bring up his daughter? Or take her and her mother with him? Send for them when he was established? He was a feckless father who didn't want the responsibility. Even what he did when she was 5 was actually cruel. Don't be around, blow in like the Hero, promise to be around then vanish in a puff of smoke. Better to have not seen her at all. And to lie like that when he knew what he was intending was inexcusable. He doesn't deserve her.
This show is made possible over 90% by men who abandon girlfriends & wives who are pregnant. They see that not only do they have no assistance from the father, their family, & also none from the state. They have no choice so they give their baby up for adoption. A much smaller percentage are women who do not want children, but got pregnant. These are abandoned at birth as foundlings, or left behind in hospitals, given away, or given up for adoption. Another percentage gives up after a time of parenting & just never returns, disappears, in some cases repeatedly (abandoning one family after another). All of these scenarios are covered by this series. The main question I have is: When will the men be made to be responsible, instead of dumping it, the care & support of their family & children, on the state? This GREAT BURDEN is causing more financial crisis than people realize in the world today. Instead of women being shamed, it should be the MAN WHO CAUSED her pregnancy who should be shamed.
anna zaman Yes, it surely was a very different world then. The stigma of an unwed mother in that society would have been terrible. To be pregnant again and to leave one behind with the imminent Nazi occupation. Thank God for grandparents! It seems someone else mentioned mental illness..it may be, but there’s a radically different world she grew up in post WWI. I’m just thrilled for the sisters and have always longed to have one, but alas, I only had brothers in a very troubled and separated life.
I wish for a follow up on the 3 sisters. It would be interesting to have an other show that would give the audience a development of all these families. What was the results of these reunions .
I don't have much regard for the father not looking for his daughter for 20 years. I was thinking, if it hadn't been for LLF looking for and finding him, would he have ever tried to look for her on his own. I think not.
The sisters 👯♀️ were wonderful. They meeting each other was absolutely perfect. It’s like they always knew each other. Now they have someone to call sister twice. The one who felt hunger, it’s sad but she remains jolly, how wonderful is that. Valerie is spunky. And the one who started the search had no idea it would be 3 sisters that look alike so much.
Nicky let it slip that he already knew there was another sister. He knew it wasn’t a brother even though Sheila didn’t. Oops! They likely had the whole thing mapped out already like in Who do you think you are?
Recently discovered this show & have watched 6 or 7 in total so far. I must say, they bring a tear to my eye & I wish eternal happiness for these reunited families. That said, this is the first & only one thus far that disturbs & frankly disgusts me & that is the deadbeat dad...who couldn't even find it in his heart & moral fiber to write a frikkin letter to his daughter that he left behind...abandoned...over 20 years prior. What kind of man does this? It's irksome that he couldn't even offer a reason. He's lucky...sorry to say, I don't believe I would be so forgiving. JMHO
His second daughter is 19. I bet his wife had something to do with him not contacting her. I was heartbroken for her. You can't get those years back. All it takes is a phone call. If she hadn't searched for him would be have looked for her??? I would be thinking about that the whole time. Also, will he make an effort to still keep in touch?
You absolutely cannot blame his current wife in any way. If he were a true Man he would have stayed in his daughter's life one way or another. Even back then when you had to pay quite a bit to make a simple phone call would it not have been worth it?
Thank you Niki and divina you are god sent to pick the pieces of a broken love and make it as whole again thank you you are god sent continue and god bless you as always
32:30 "I hope we all bond." LOL I thought she said, "I hope we all bowled." And I thought, "Whaaaaat???!" That English accent got the best of me for a minute! :D
She is the sweetest & cutest LiL older lady. She is so happy & inspiring, after all she's been thru. Hope the sister's meet & maybe find the other sibling 💞
So selfish for Daisy to not give her Daughter clues to finding her sister. If she didn't want to deal with it, she could have written things down for her Daughter to open once Daisy died. So infuriating
I'm not an only child but grew up with older brothers. I was thinking while watching the sisters meet that I wish a sister or two would appear in my life. I've always wanted a sister. I'm so happy for these ladies. How wonderful that they found each other. :)
Great show this is, but unfortunately for alot of people out there searching for their long lost loved ones....... the story / reunion isn't always a happy one and will cause even more heartaches than what they've already suffered. It's a real risk to take that chance at finding their lost relatives, and alot of guts too. But I guess for those that didn't have a good outcome, take it as a lesson in life you had to go through and learn, grief and sorrow will teach you to become a more understanding person in life depending on how you use your experience.
Not sure why, but if you visit places families typically frequent here in the USA, you will frequently see black women or white women with mixed race children, alone. You very seldom see it among other minorities such as Asians or Hispanics. You more often see those children with both parents.
Naomi is so forgiving, poor kid. Her "father" was horribly selfish and careless with a young child's feelings and emotions. No excuses.
Selfish? How was he selfish for going back to the US when he literally had no choice or probably be homeless.
I agree!
It never occurred to me to bash men or boys.
Daisy was so secretive. Didn't want her image tarnished.
anna zaman Yes, it surely was a very different world then.
My goodness this episode really teared up! I'm late to this show, but I love it! So beautiful.
Every parent who thinks about abandoning their children should watch Long Lost Family!
Anyone thinking about aborting their baby should also watch. Adoption is so much better than abortion.
The three sisters mother was quite the gal. Good thing she left Jersey she would have been punished for being a collaborator.
Yippee! What a great show! I'm over the moon with ecstasy!
This show is beyond amazing if these 3 sister's unite. God is so good! 💞
I wish for a follow up on the 3 sisters. It would be interesting to have an other show that would give the audience a development of all these families. What was the results of these reunions .
Naomi's "dad" is a deadbeat dad. He could've done so much to see her during those 20 years for gods sake!
He could have at the very least written her letters and sent her birthday cards.
I agree. I’d invite him all the way over the pond and then punch him in the face.
It's very sad... it was the 1980's not the 1880's lol... there were telephones and mail. How can you tell a precious child a lie
like that... ugh sad.
I don't have much regard for the father not looking for his daughter for 20 years. I was thinking, if it hadn't been for LLF looking for and finding him, would he have ever tried to look for her on his own. I think not.
sherry kao aloe of them out there
The sisters 👯♀️ were wonderful.
Thank you for uploading this!
Awwww such beautiful sisters!!!! I love them!!!
Nicky let it slip that he already knew there was another sister. He knew it wasn’t a brother even though Sheila didn’t. Oops! They likely had the whole thing mapped out already like in Who do you think you are?
I'm surprised that was left in the final edit!
Naomi is so pretty
"Even now, I can still feel the hunger..." WOW.
JMHO
SweetDreams706 and
Changed his name
wow
who does that
.
I’ve been noticing the exact same thing! If it wasn’t for deadbeat dads, this show wouldn’t even exist!
aww man. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!
I just read a book about this same story it was called secret sisters very good book
that dad is so scripted, controlling, sus, and pretentious. Even Nicky (the host) can sense that.
How can so many people not how to spell bawl? You BAWL your eyes out. Not ball.
Probably Not. And His Wife wouldn't have encouraged it
You absolutely cannot blame his current wife in any way. If he were a true Man he would have stayed in his daughter's life one way or another. Even back then when you had to pay quite a bit to make a simple phone call would it not have been worth it?
It just feels like he was Rehearsing everything It wasn't authentic. The was no remorse.
Thank you Niki and divina you are god sent to pick the pieces of a broken love and make it as whole again thank you you are god sent continue and god bless you as always
This people what they do is the best and great work in the world. Changing people life’s like this is amazing 😩😩😩😩💝💝💝💝♥️🎂
I'm so very happy for the sisters.
32:30 "I hope we all bond." LOL I thought she said, "I hope we all bowled." And I thought, "Whaaaaat???!" That English accent got the best of me for a minute! :D
I am in the USA...A reunited adoptee myself and wanted to know if this show is still on the air in England? Such a great show!
Yes :)
+benwarful They have an American version coming up next month on TLC channel.
Dot Thurman omg really?what is going to be the title of it so I can see it from here (I watch u.s. shows since I moved to another country).
+Rubi Estefany It is also Long Lost Family! :)
Same title. Check it out on tlc.com. It already aired.
I've got to say, to that father: "How can you get up every day and look yourself in the mirror, knowing what you chose to do to your daughter?"
True, not even a letter for crying out loud 🙆♀️
Finally! I've been searching for this one for ages! Thanks
The Frazzle Me too!. I saw the advert for the sisters story and I've been looking for it.

I love that woman. She is so open and accepting. This is one of the best.
I am an only child and have always wished a sibling would show up.
I'm not an only child but grew up with older brothers. I was thinking while watching the sisters meet that I wish a sister or two would appear in my life. I've always wanted a sister. I'm so happy for these ladies. How wonderful that they found each other. :)
Back in the day, I’d have gladly have offered you my baby sister.......
What a lame excuse of the father for not looking for his daughter! He should be ashamed!
Tony Kart Racer I was understanding enough already and didn’t need extra lessons on that after what was done to me.
I would pay money to know the life story of Cherry's mother. She looked quite a rascal in the pictures with Cherry.
Not sure why, but if you visit places families typically frequent here in the USA, you will frequently see black women or white women with mixed race children, alone. You very seldom see it among other minorities such as Asians or Hispanics. You more often see those children with both parents.
