People very rarely, if ever, change their mind instantly on a political belief though. This is why when I hire kids out of college I give them the lowest positions possible. Something like customer service. Most of them don't take it. The ones that do usually don't last a month. Meanwhile I hired a kid years ago right out of high school through one of our employees and he's running one of my departments. I watched him for about six months and saw the determination in everything he did. I offered to pay for half of our trade school costs. He took it and he's now a big part of our family. If you don't have to go to college don't. Save your time and money. My folks make more than most college grads and are far happier.

You need to use analogies for these kids use what I use "imagine we are like the story mode in a video game" one. Explaining that through playing the game you gain more skill, perks, and equipment to go further, but you have to do the work, and sacrifice at times. When they bring up inequality, and how those just starting here "deserve everything all at once."

My wife is from Brazil and it took her 6 years to get her legal citizenship and she still had a couple more years to go. So all in all 8 plus years to become a legal citizen is how every country should work. I joke with her and tell her she should go to TJ (we live in San Diego) and cross the boarder illegally cause she would be better off. That’s the disconnect with this immigration issue at the moment. She had paid so much money to become a citizen the legal way. It simply not fair! If she has to go through this process so do the 10 of millions of migrants who have come across the boarder the past 4 years and get free money and housing. It makes me sick to my stomach that people are so for illegal immigration when I’ve seen my beautiful wife of 4 years suffer cause she can’t afford to pay certain immigration paperwork. It’s disgusting! And I’m a 24 year Navy Seal vet. Explain that to me??

This is why when I hire kids out of college I give them the lowest positions possible. Something like customer service. Most of them don't take it. The ones that do usually don't last a month. Meanwhile I hired a kid years ago right out of high school through one of our employees and he's running one of my departments. I watched him for about six months and saw the determination in everything he did. I offered to pay for half of our trade school costs. He took it and he's now a big part of our family. If you don't have to go to college don't. Save your time and money. My folks make more than most college grads and are far happier.
