Her singing gives me chills, fills my eyes with tears, and she is such a lovely, natural performer. If everyone were like me, this girl would be a SUPERSTAR!
What a combination. James Taylor's classic song and AJ Lee's fabulous voice spanning fifty years with style. This is a beautiful cover of a wonderful song.
I actually do that often, I have family there and have not been there for years. Went there often with my parents when I was young. Awesome performance
Has James Taylor seen this?! I know he would be proud!! Downloaded this & listen daily w/ my little girls. We all love your style! Huge future for you!! 😊❤
I guess one dislike from James Taylor due to his jealousy 🤪🤪🤪 How pure her voice is... I’ve never been to Carolina but am feeling like riding horse on green grass.... this one’s now favorite one of mine. Thanks AJ for knowing me this...🥰🥰🥰
It’s called “gone to Carolina” because he makes a few puns that work with that phrasing. Examples: “I’m going, going, gone to Carolina” Forgive me if I’m up and gone to Carolina” Making it “going to Carolina” kind of ruins the poem part of the song. That said, I love your arrangement. But that wording stuck in my craw.
I thought about this song and Carolina as a casual song dreaming about a vacation ,after my wife succumbed to Alzheimer’s I had a new take on it, one I would play for her.❤️🩹

I so agree. The most overlooked talent of our time.
Are you listening, JT? Do you feel as privileged as we do to hear this beautiful song performed so beautifully?

AJ is a prodigious talent; every time I see her I am thankful.
I love AJ Lee's voice and musical talent, but have to admit she reminds me of so many girls I crushed on in the Seventies.
I guess one dislike from James Taylor due to his jealousy 🤪🤪🤪

To make it perfect, it must be “goin” not “going.” The it will be absolutely perfect.

I love this song. You did it justice, so long ago. Who is the bass player on this? They did a great job too!
Thanks, Joseph! The bass player is yours truly, lol and thanks for the compliment. AJ made it sound better!
@@BobCordenGet outta town! :) It's one of my favorite songs. The guitar is nice but AJ's vocals and that great bass line make it!
Any plans to be in North Carolina or Tennessee?
She reminds of a the Mollie the Osage actress
Beautiful AJ, your voice is so smooth. What key is this in as it suits my voice also.
Is there a CD of this performance?
Unfortunately no, Vincent. This and four other tunes were recorded in my home studio in under an hour and a half. That's how good AJ really is.
@@BobCorden Thanks for the reply Bob! Yeah super song! She is a very talented musician! Hopefully she comes to Europe sometimes !
My favorite version of this song bar none. I like it better than the great Alison Krauss and JamesTaylors.
Love AJ but missing the signature chord change in this song - G D/F# E7 A7sus4 D
