Hi, was a pleasure to meet you at EUIC ( I was the player in the side event on Saturday that recognized you). There are two points I want to bring up in this discussion. The first one is that the Pokemon TCG and VGC are rapidly growing right now so I do understand why the spots for the tournaments are very limited. Of course, they should up the capacity as soon as possible but it's probably quite hard as venues have to be pre-booked very early. It's just a matter of time until they get a good grasp of how many players want to attend. On the other side, I do think the trophies for Yugioh are much nicer, and that there are prize cards for tournaments other than worlds is also nice though the prize money for Pokemon is much better than the prizing for Yugioh overall of course.
As long as you enjoy yourself there is no wrong. Also i think ygo is too big to die out just like that. Tubers tend to go for clicks and a bunch of it it is apocalyptic stuff. But also they think to influence konami. The amount of ygo content alone is huge. Nonetheless, i hope that the game will be improved.
I remember when Konami had a DMG cosplayer to run the prize wall and let's just say she had numerous interactions with "people" that might explain why they stopped doing it.
ur conclusion at the end is spot on...... konami doesnt even PRETEND to care and its pissing me off as a person whos actually willing to spend money on the game
Thabk you for spitting straight facts here. Konami defenders will always be like "BUT THE MONEY" or "why would konami be doing something that immediately doesnt make them money" and its annoying. Other companies that make MORE MONEY than konami with yugioh do a better job and spend more money on their games with cash prizes, cost of playing the game, organisation and presentation. If konami simps defense for not doing this or treating their consumers like garbage like what some comments of some popular streamers allude to is "its a private company they do everything for money", then they are really bad at business because they don't seem to understand how important consumer trust, long-term investments and marketing are.
The worst thing about the popup store thing is that it already exist. Kaiba corp popup stores in japan. Bring that same thing to YCS with japan exclusive goodies and MONEY WOULD FLOW IN LIKE CRAZY. They sell a lot of stuff outside cards and accesories: Plushies, figures, memorabilia, clothes... which are literally impossible to get outside of japan. And people that doesn't play the game but like the franchise WILL buy anyway. You don't need to be playing the top tier deck at the YCS to buy a sick t-shirt/sweater or a Kuriboh plushie. I always get angry thinking how much franchise goodies are there and how they REFUSE to sell them outside japan. Is like they're trying to lose money on purpose, like with every other decision they've taken in the last years. And as for the entry stuff, I also hate the packs. I rather get some promos, token and/or sleeves than 8 random packs that end up filling the trash bin at the venue.
Pokémon has successfully made their franchise multi generational while Yugioh has not (maybe in Japan it is). How many mid-late Gen Z do you see playing Yugioh today?
I think as far as a presentation for yugioh should go it should model itself after a museum type of environment that should feature statues "dueling" each other in a since. It may not sound super kid friendly the way you make describe this Pokemon venue but if this Pokemon gathering is the fun relatives place where you can go wild, maybe upscale Yugioh venues can be treated like that one proper, rich relative's house.
As an E-sport game enthusiast, I see Konami is really lazy. They have a large number of players and sponsorships, and they can manage a worse event than the less popular e-sports that I know. . But first, most important, we need fuckin' alternative lower power format. At least the format where iconic decks are playable without being bullied by modern unfair decks, like Legend Anthology in Master Duel.
Lets go a step further and have a low power event WITHOUT dark magician and blue eyes because its getting sickening seem them over and over in most low power legend anthology events. I wish some people would realize that yugioh, even low power or old yugioh is beyond just the anime nostalgia for Atem and Kaiba
@@yuseifudo6075 I didn't use to hate them. Hell I initially even enjoyed seeing them. But Duel Links when DM and Blue Eyes were meta respectively REALLY made me start to hate them. Like literally every other match was against them. Got extremely tiring and irritated for the whole format because you can just imagine how many people were playing them. And then some of the players who use these decks are at times just plain obnoxious. Never thought I will see toxic casuals but they proved me wrong. Constant whining about their decks not being strong while using every moment to bitch and moan about modern yugioh be it meta "sheeps", hand traps and just general power of decks. Honestly the decks themselves are perfectly fine, I ended up hating them because of overuse and the players lol
@@sammydray5919 That's why I suggest this as 2nd format or alternative format. Because if you are tired of this overrated deck, just go back to the standard format. We are tired seeing of that deck because we saw them for years. But people who never played the game before, don't feel it. They just see the fact that they now can play like their favorite characters in the anime they watched before. . This game has thousands of cards. They can adjust the balance properly to make more cards playable too. I only say the format where anime decks are playable, not dominant. This is very possible to do.
I think the revenue is just the biggest part. like yugioh could get alot from actual card game, duel links, and master duel, but there is so much diversity in pokemon with vgc, tcg, and go. The formats are sooo different it creates a large community to all 3, all with methods to make bank, and with vcg being the cheapest, with a $60 base game with over $40 in combined dlc.
This is one of those situation where konami manage to "OutBoomer" nintendo somehow. Konami just don't see the potential in making ygo popular = more money. They'd rather use their money in pachinko for elderly because that is where mosy of their profit come currently while someone in nintendo back then can see how much potential pokemon has and capitalize on it.
Meanwhile Konami: “don’t come to worlds if you’re not invited” “Player walks out of tournament because of how bad the smell was” If you don’t have the 100$ card borrow it from your friend instead.”
It feels like a bit of a waste that yugioh still relies on the same mascots for the merch and branding when there's so much cool stuff around. Imagine having more merch push with newer archetypes to tell people "There's more to yu-gi-oh! If you like these characters you can play with them too!" Cause for most people not super familiar they still think yugioh is just blue-eyes and dark magician. Imagine Purrrely for the cute merch! Albaz for the big story and interesting characters! Diabellestar has been the center of so much stuff on the cardgame, pushing for more of her stuff would only make sense, right? Imagine pins for Labrynth, the knight and the furniture set that people could collect and trade at the event!
I'm in the fgc which is basically poverty the community runs most events and they are much more premium than this including having stages Konami is just cheap af
9:08 “the stage is massive and the regionals don’t have that stage either” oh solemn..yes they do. I went to Vancouver regs and the stage was almost as massive as it was at EUIC. All games being streamed and everything. I also feel like Pokémon’s budget blows Konami’s out of the water and the coverage on said streams is a lot better too. Even during intermissions, Pokemon shows previous feature matches from past gens, historic moments, etc. YGO barely does any of that. Pokémon’s casters and commentary seems a lot more professional too, idk how to put it.
When can we see you start playing pokemon? I will say the game is fun, just sadly more on the simple side. But gladly the games barrier to entry especially cost wise is amazing
These big events are supposed to be advertisements and celebrations, not businesses. It's like if Disney didn't have Disney Land. There'd be fewer expenses, to be sure, but they wouldn't have the massive foothold in the psyche of so many people.
I'd love if yugiog started giving out those matchwinner prize cards again. They don't go against takahashi's will for the prizes to be worth money, but they sell to collectors for a pretty good price.
Yeah yugioh is the official chump of all TCG. Wouldn't be surprised if One Piece TCG over throws yugioh if it hasn't already. Other TCG games honestly care about their player experience, unlike yugioh. I've been wanting to expand to a different TCG for a while now, ever since the last ban list. Just showed Konami wants people to throw money at one viable deck. Yugioh local seen has been abysmal and empty as well. Yeah yugioh sucks now. When I got into the game late 2019, you had 4 decks at the top. But ever since 2022 Konami has been creating 1 deck formats.
They want to exploit the FOMO or "winning addiction" from their player. The strongest deck in the format is usually the most expensive one. Those decks usually can carry the player, even if the player is less skilled. In the next format, when the deck isn't good anymore, in order to win again, those kinds of people don't have a choice but to spend another money to grab another strong deck. . And repeat, and repeat it again in every format.
*"YuGiOh is in Trouble if it doesn't LEARN from Pokémon"* Huh... given how Pokemon's reputation has been game-wise over the past few years that sentence sounds very very wrong, lol.
Probably half of that most likely on average. The recent list that won a 2000 man regional is 95usd on tcg player and that has a 31 dollar card. The deck that got third place is 45 USD on tcgplayer.
Good point. Kids and other casual family members would rather pick out the more in your face icon over a teenage looking niche, despite that niche trying to look more childish.
All the criticisms you have are valid However, I think people SEVERELY underestimate the difference between the Pokémon brand and the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand The population as a whole, does not care at all about Yu-Gi-Oh! Pikachu is basically Japan’s Mickey Mouse, Konami can’t compete with that right now Yugioh is less popular than Pokémon was during Gen 3-5 and that is SAYING something. There are just so many differences between the franchises that I can’t fit them into a single comment But for Konami to fix this, they would need to make a HUGE effort for like 5-8 years to change their PR for Yugioh and to give the franchise a more mainstream appeal. However it’s incredibly complicated to do this with Yugioh compared to Pokémon
I'm at the age where I now have children of my own. They're not in love with yugioh, but don't hate it. I'd love to be able to bring my wife and kids to a yugioh-con where there are FUN things to do. I have two little girls, they LOVE face painting and all that kind of junk that men in their 20s and 30s are 0% interested in. I would pay Konami real money to face paint my kids if that means I can play in the event and my wife isn't rolling her eyes the whole time.
I don't know how tags work, so can someone tag Konami, please? As much as I love YuGiOh, I can't help but feel sad.. I live in the middle of nowhere, and no matter how much I want it, no tournament will happen here. But for such disparity between the two games, it really leaves a bad taste in the mouth.. Konami can do the same or make it even more interesting.
Well hes talking about atmosphere and yep yugi events just dont have it really . Comparable to if you go to an Restaurant and there is a chair and a table and nothing else there is no Atmosphere. Wich is super important to attach people and make more money in the longterm. Konami doesent know there customers.
The big difference is barrier to entry. You can technically go buy a structure deck and play with it at your local game store, but this game is relatively niche and full of guys in their late 20’s playing pay-to-win decks, so you’ll always lose unless you invest more time and money than casual fans are willing to. Pokemon is first and foremost an easygoing, relaxing video game that people have turned into competitive affairs basically against GF’s will, since they only reluctantly ended up making it easier to create competitive teams over time. Konami has the exact opposite philosophy, they have turned their product into an endless money sink of ever changing power creep so people feel forced to keep spending thousands of dollars on the cards every year. Something dummies of the modern age don’t realise is that good business is not about “making everyone feel welcome and included,” it’s about capturing a dedicated base of cash cows who can’t resist consooming their products. Even McDonald’s works like this. They are not kept afloat by once-a-month Quarter Pounder buyers. They have a dedicated core consoomer base who eats at McDonald’s multiple times per week.
Pokemon is for children, you basically nailed it in your first sentence. The issue is Yugi oh treats players as if the game were for children... its a bizarre disconnect. Maybe 25 years ago it was for children but not now... Like how most people below 80 don't even know what Backgammon is.. lol or shuffle board ... and even pokemon should have leagues and is a bit odd they don't... most people play online so age doesn't matter but in person it sure af does... imo.
I would say Cardfight regionals are better than Yugioh ones as well. I went to a yugioh regionals recently had only one vendor no decoration and. A max capacity of around 300
Problem is the game just sucks. It isn't growing because the power creep was pretty much a power-stampede. Pokemon is booming and magic is growing since covid in the states. And yugioh is doing so bad it is the cheapest of all three of the big tcgs in America that you can get two packs cheaper than the price of one pokemon pack and pokemon is cheaper than magic. The metas are really easy to follow for pokemon. A lot of people are coming back to pokemon. hell i just started collecting again after dabbling in magic. Even magic is easier to play than yugioh now. Konami really shit the bed on yuhioh. Im sorry yugioh die hards the game is dead when the packs and booster boxes sit so long that they are basically perma half off compared to what they were ten years ago. I got out when the gx based cards came out. And yall should really drop the game its dead. konami made most of its money on damn casino machines. oof
Yu-gi-oh is so incredibly cooked at this point. The cardgame is dead, the anime dub is in shambles(No good openings anymore and EU releases have been cancelled since Vrains for some reason). Subs for the original japanese anime version only ever released in english for some reason. The manga has been pushed into the corner since forever. It's unbelievably weird, but videogames are carrying the IP interms of international support for some reason. That should never happen.
Yu-Gi-Oh! just isn’t as popular because the entire point of Yu-Gi-Oh! circles around the game people who play Pokémon and would be a good audience for Yu-Gi-Oh. Don’t actually play the Pokémon card game. All they do is collect the cards so if they ever even try to play a Yu-Gi-Oh!match they’re gonna be extremely confused not try and look at the rules and just summon all the cool looking cards
at 8:46 no need for konami to pay for costumes i see people at events wearing the most ridiculous crap as it is. i saw someone with some kind of flower wreath on their head, saw someone wearing a horse mask that looked like it was from spencers and i have seen a grown man wear a hello kitty outfit LMAO
Yugioh judges are extremely terrible because they power trip too hard, the core sets have been awful, competitive cards are too expensive. Some of the reason why I haven’t played in a while.
Yeah, konami should think building better stages, at least on par with Pokemon VGC. I believe konami can do that. But if konami can make Masterduel as grand like other like other esport such as league of legend, DOTA, and counter strike, i will respect konami if he can do that, which is copium. For a company that making billion not only from yugioh, also from other franchise like metal gear solid, contra, castlevania and silent hill can't do a event like Pokemon is kind funny man.
is there an issue pokemon lets be fair it's card is it's least profitable part the games merch, anime then cards and even then it's more the collectable aspect of the card game i have never once heard anyone compare yugioh to pokemon competitive wish because unless it's changed people went to pokemon because it was easy
Maybe but the bigger issue is people don’t know 95% of the monsters sure they know of dark magician and blue eyes but will the anime fans know of common cards like baronne, will they feel joy in opening an eldlich the golden lord, would they be able to pick out anyone from the works iegacy story line Yugioh especially in the west is too heavily linked to the card hand while Pokémon is a multimedia behemoth with 3 equally massive streaks the anime was a good start but the fact the cards are just cards until they’re hooked up the a hologram display really hurts its chances compared to stuff you can do with Pokémon or digimon where they are all around in tge sane world as the protagonist and can physically react to what’s happening
It's 3rd behind MTG and Pokémon in terms of sales and 3rd behind Pokémon and DBZ in terms of popular anime. People know what it is, but mostly just early DM stuff that they watched as kids. Konami knows this, which is why all of their iconography lately has been DM focused, but it doesn't translate into steady consumership because the card game is beyond that old era and drives people off.
@@spicymemes7458 id also add that most people probably don't feel any connection or feel enticed towards dark magician or blue eyes merch compared to pokemon offering a fantasy of owning some sort of magic pet of a real-life dog, cat, penguin, monkey etc. the animal aspect of pokemon is just way better than the monster fantasy of yugioh.
@@jmurray1110in regard to your first sentence, i feel like if anyone were to come back to yugioh after quitting for a while, they'd be intimidated on what to buy wondering if they'll get anything of monetary or sentimental value while you can quit pokemon for 15 years, come back and buy any ETB or booster box or the myriad of special collection boxes and still pull a pikachu card or any early gen pokemon. youl'll almost never see a DM or GX era card or at least not many in newer yugioh sets, not to mention very little box set type of products with promo cards.
Yu-Gi-Oh is just a dying game it is sad to say and a former player. The reasons why I said that is that you can’t get new people into the game current and former players are not staying with the game and we have to spend tons of money to get the to play a competitive deck and not only that master duel will never become an esport because it is horribly managed but getting better now for advance Pokémon is overall just better the YCS mostly a Aa joke plagued with cheaters and inconsistent judging in card rulings and normal disqualifications
Ygo just isn't as culturally big as pokemon, plus the game is horrible at introducing new players to it....thus, the community stays small. But I didn't know people played pokemon at a high level like this, I know more collectors of pokemon than actual pokemon players😂😂
I have always thought of yugi oh as a more mature game and Pokémon more for children (below teen) it would be nice to have a Vegas experience, you have people bringing drinks little shows pre game introductions, dress code or a masquerade, something unique that makes Yugi oh stand out, being like pokemon and being a clone i think is the wrong path. Yugi oh is huge into Egyptian culture, why not have a tournament in Egypt by the pyramids, also yugi oh is influenced by future technology, holo grams.. basically we need bigger backers ..i was thinking maybe ask Elon Musk to host a tournament, he does have a lot of kids that may find this cool.
@@sigiligus Really, why is that? How much do you care about the players experience in person? It takes people that care about people in order for this world not to suck; if no one gives af we get the world we have now. Card games have been around a very very long time and more people play games like Yugi Oh, then they play poker or black jack and in fact many of these games are incorporated into Yugi Oh like chess, Shogi. I don't see why I should be embarrassed over a card game I enjoy and want to get an experience going to events that surpass Vegas and why wouldn't you want this? Hockey is an example of a game that is played at all ages and still taken very seriously by pro players that make millions of dollars playing. Now if the NHL was played with children involved, it would have the same problem Yugi Oh has... it can't be taken seriously or if the M.M.A. had children in it fighting adults. It's pretty clear what the problem is, do the organizers want to fix it or not? Yugi oh needs age brackets because certain age groups want different experiences in events and treated differently. (Dkayed youtuber) quit the TCG because their was no age brackets or league, where people play in person with the appropriate age) A 20 year old shouldn't be playing a 10 year old for money or for recognition as a professional player for obvious reasons... I think the people who invite players to play in an environment that women can't even stand the smell should be embarrassed or a set up that is put together like an after school club, the people who set up these events also contribute to the image of the players; their is a tremendous amount of money in your image as a pro player for endorsements or for getting fans on social media. It's not chump change, it's big money. Dkayed (you tuber) gets almost 2000 people watching him play or announce; I don't think you understand how much money in this their is in Yugi Oh as an E-sport. Also, the guy who made this video isn't 10 years old and has a family and is making these videos for money.
They did even announce a Purrely plushie, come on who wouldn't buy one Konami EU
Pokémon has successfully made their franchise multi generational while Yugioh has not (maybe in Japan it is). How many mid-late Gen Z do you see playing Yugioh today?
A lot
MMEEEE and some of my family members who I got into the game
Because it exclusive on japan
Me, I ain't even 20
Mid gen-z is still old enough for Yugioh to have been really popular when they were kids lol
Giant 👏 inflatable 👏 kitkallos 👏 for👏 the👏 next 👏 EURO 👏 YCS
This is why you won’t be getting YCS. Yall just stay on that cardmarket body pillow lifestyle. EMBARRASSMENT
Fuck waifu's
I've heard rumours that something like this could be happening. Google "Kitkalos inflation" for details.
So many say this & so will i, draft would be another good idea, it uses unsellable stock & new comers could potentially play as well (maybe?)
@@sammydray5919true, dm.and be are so overrated man i hate it
@@yuseifudo6075 I didn't use to hate them.
"the mascots in costumes; do I as a grown adult need that?"
YES
Meanwhile Konami: “don’t come to worlds if you’re not invited”
“Player walks out of tournament because of how bad the smell was”
If you don’t have the 100$ card borrow it from your friend instead.”
I wanted to have a pop up stand at the event for my Pokémon themed smoke shop called Koffing’s but Nintendo said no :(
Why don't EU have YCS's? Sorry if silly question I haven't played in about a decade but was considering picking it up again
I don’t think I’ll ever play pokemon tcg again. Tried it, wasn’t for me.
I played vgc :)
Pokemon tcg and vgc are both very simple but have a super high skill ceiling. Ygo has a high skill ceiling but also a high skill floor.
Ive never been to a ycs and i love all of these ideas. Great video!
These big events are supposed to be advertisements and celebrations, not businesses.
It's like if Disney didn't have Disney Land. There'd be fewer expenses, to be sure, but they wouldn't have the massive foothold in the psyche of so many people.
Yugioh needs literal Pokemon archetypes.
I'd love if yugiog started giving out those matchwinner prize cards again. They don't go against takahashi's will for the prizes to be worth money, but they sell to collectors for a pretty good price.
Unchained combo guide when 🥺🥺
Time to kick out the boomer executives at Konami
I picked up Munchkin and tried Marvel Bam. There's way more than TCGs that are pretty fun
*"YuGiOh is in Trouble if it doesn't LEARN from Pokémon"*
Huh... given how Pokemon's reputation has been game-wise over the past few years that sentence sounds very very wrong, lol.
Also a top meta deck is well under 150usd
Probably half of that most likely on average. The recent list that won a 2000 man regional is 95usd on tcg player and that has a 31 dollar card.
The deck that got third place is 45 USD on tcgplayer.
Konami is just too stingy, they won't do shit
Konami already lost me. I stuck with playing casually with friends.
0:00 I haven't watched the video yet, but I bet the first thing you're going to say, is Konami could actually host European events? Lol.
Good point. Kids and other casual family members would rather pick out the more in your face icon over a teenage looking niche, despite that niche trying to look more childish.
Philippine players be like: we just play in a mall covention hall/food court.
True. Buts that is the fun part
All the criticisms you have are valid
However, I think people SEVERELY underestimate the difference between the Pokémon brand and the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand
The population as a whole, does not care at all about Yu-Gi-Oh! Pikachu is basically Japan’s Mickey Mouse, Konami can’t compete with that right now
Yugioh is less popular than Pokémon was during Gen 3-5 and that is SAYING something. There are just so many differences between the franchises that I can’t fit them into a single comment
But for Konami to fix this, they would need to make a HUGE effort for like 5-8 years to change their PR for Yugioh and to give the franchise a more mainstream appeal.
I’m down for person with a kuriboh costume at a ycs lol
Well hes talking about atmosphere and yep yugi events just dont have it really .
Comparable to if you go to an Restaurant and there is a chair and a table and nothing else there is no Atmosphere. Wich is super important to attach people and make more money in the longterm.
Konami doesent know there customers.
Just started playing Pokémon TCG😎
Full Art Cards Pls
We just need Yugioh creators to dress up as Obelisk and cook food
Maby i must switch 2 pokemon but isk if i can keep up qit set rotation and stuff
keeping up with rotation wont be a problem since u can buy a fresh 60 card deck for like 60-150$ max. Its really cheap
Thank you being so kind help me and these people to better understand you God amen
at 8:46 no need for konami to pay for costumes i see people at events wearing the most ridiculous crap as it is. i saw someone with some kind of flower wreath on their head, saw someone wearing a horse mask that looked like it was from spencers and i have seen a grown man wear a hello kitty outfit LMAO
NO MORE DEX CUT IN ALL THE FUTURE POKEMON GAMES!
the problem is not konami dont know how, its they dont give a damn lol
Should have listened to the Metal Gear fans
You released this video too early. Pokémon Go just made the biggest mistake ever, so the only thing YuGiOh has to learn is: Don’t anger your fans!
People moved to Pokémon because it was cheaper. Why spend 1k on fkse when you can spend 40-50 and play a deck around lugia
@@GG_Nowa that's funny the few people that switched left because they wanted an easy game.
I’ll say the prizing is better than Pokemon. For the simple fact they can’t just give you money.
yugioh neuron?? last time i went to a YCS i hand wrote my deck list on a paper forum day of event
In EU we do stuff digitally. Sounds like a US problem
Us is suffering
EU has used nueron for ages for regional and up.
In the coming months locals also are adapting that so it's way more simple
Eh I just don’t see yugioh having the capacity to do this. Pokémon is extremely popular, everyone knows Pokémon. Not everyone knows yugioh.
Marketing and design choice issue tbh
Maybe but the bigger issue is people don’t know 95% of the monsters sure they know of dark magician and blue eyes but will the anime fans know of common cards like baronne, will they feel joy in opening an eldlich the golden lord, would they be able to pick out anyone from the works iegacy story line
Yugioh especially in the west is too heavily linked to the card hand while Pokémon is a multimedia behemoth with 3 equally massive streaks the anime was a good start but the fact the cards are just cards until they’re hooked up the a hologram display really hurts its chances compared to stuff you can do with Pokémon or digimon where they are all around in tge sane world as the protagonist and can physically react to what’s happening
@@jmurray1110in regard to your first sentence, i feel like if anyone were to come back to yugioh after quitting for a while, they'd be intimidated on what to buy wondering if they'll get anything of monetary or sentimental value while you can quit pokemon for 15 years, come back and buy any ETB or booster box or the myriad of special collection boxes and still pull a pikachu card or any early gen pokemon. youl'll almost never see a DM or GX era card or at least not many in newer yugioh sets, not to mention very little box set type of products with promo cards.
yugioh needs better winners rewards
Look up Wolfey vgc he is the world champion
You mean Yugioh should make female characters look like dudes? 😂
You should feel embarrassed for posting this
@@sigiligus
Really, why is that?
(Dkayed youtuber) quit the TCG because their was no age brackets or league, where people play in person with the appropriate age)
A 20 year old shouldn't be playing a 10 year old for money or for recognition as a professional player for obvious reasons...
Look at most of the people making these videos, they are not children, the demographic for Yugi oh i.m.o. isn't for kids. 18 plus.
Pokemon is the most overrated thing ever but they deserve what they have considering how dog shit konami tcg is
Not overrate but kid love it
7:52 You do _not_ want to encounter an Ash Blossom CP on your event unless you also want to invite the FBI
Now imagine if they had someone like you actually working at konami instead of the entire department consisting of soulless cockroaches in suits exclusively interested in maximizing short term robbe...wait I meant "profit". They have literally been running on the fumes provided by Kazuhi Takahashi all the way back in the day and when they FINALLY run it to the ground with their stupidity they're just going to look around and act surprised because people suddenly "lost interest" in the biggest original card game IP in the world
