If you enjoy this, check out Mr. Moon as well. He's not as focused on dayZ as Frankie is, and doesn't have as many video. But he also makes story based gameplay like Frankie does, if that's what you like about him.

tell me about it just had a fucking ass who killed me on sight when i SURRENDERED and said yo man just need some help he shot me between the eyes and i was dead then i run into a guy who i asked to team with he says yes i stop for a sec he knocks me unconcious then gets me up again seriously i want some bandits but literally every fucking person is a bandit no survivors who help or team all greedy cunts i wish they had more friendly players .

Johnathan Smith That's not what he meant. Frankie sometimes talks to somebody and then walks away with his in-game mic still on and starts talking to his audience.
[REDACTED] he could use a seperate microphone for recording the commentary we hear to the mic he uses to transmit ingame. So perhaps he just flicks a hard mute on his headset mic that's sending to the game and just leaves the direct comms on.

watching these back just gives that awesome nostalgic feeling
13:25 man i tend to do this as well, even in Wasteland servers, i like to put an ATV at each entrance with full headlights on, just so we can see if anyone tries to sneak up at night.
Funny thing, some people automatically assume that lights at night equals death since you become a bigger target (which ofc is only true if you stand IN FRONT OF the lights).
So some guy turned off the lights on the ATV covering a hole in the back of our base.
Our guard looking out over that direction didn't have night vision.
What happens? 5 minutes later an enemy sneaks right in through that hole, our guard didn't see him, and he put satchels on all our trucks and cars.
Another time i was in a seriously bad situation as i drove up on a guy on my ATV, he had a rifle aimed straight at me and was lining it up to take me out before i could disembark.
I hit the headlights in his face and ejected, i survived prone and managed to take him out despite him having 5 seconds to line up the shot, because he got blinded by the sudden headlights in his face in the pitch black night.
I would not have survived if i didn't hit the lights.
Moral of the story, lights at night are NOT just a "shoot me" target, they can really help to prevent sneak entries and blind people who try to just rush in with night vision goggles on.
Imagine if DICE made their own version of this for Xbox 1...I would defo pay for that! The footage at night is seriously creepy, its pretty amazing considering how basic it is
DICE doesn't make DayZ. If you are talking about an alternative, it has to be different to avoid copyright and Im not sure if different will not work. Consoles noobs don't realize is that DayZ is a mod for a military simulator called ARMA 2, a PC exclusive. BF3 is FAR less realistic and all the ARMA 2/DayZ options need all the keys of a keyboard. Also, it isn't DICE which will make the game more console friendly, it is the game engine they use, Frostbite 3.
I know DICE don't make it, I said imagine if they made their own version. I'm pretty sure copyright is irrelevant as long as they don't use the same name, otherwise Max brooks might have something to say about it. The graphics and the animations (as the video points out) are not very good, I'm just picturing the game with the best of both worlds. I really enjoy BF3/4 but I wish it had the depth and possibilities that this game does. I'm sure they can create something for console players with next gen abilities that is similar with better graphics (well...I hope they can).

What I'm trying to say is that I would like something like this on a console (because I have one) and I would love a game with this much depth and space but with better graphics and animations

Wester Burzun That would be awesome! I love the night scenes and the potential for day and night cycles, its something I haven't seen much of on the console games I have played. The closest I have seen is 'State of Decay' which was amazing considering it had so little exposure/marketing and it did crazy sales. I hope they make a sequel soon

Frankie, I have fallen in love with your DayZ series. I just started watching and ep. 10 has been my favorite so far. When you landed the chopper at the end and the guys in the ghillie suits rose from the tall grass, coupled with the cool music, it gave me the sense that it was the ending of a Call of Duty or Battlefield mission. From the way you plan and calculate every step in this game, I can tell you are very intelligent. Please keep your videos, going as I will sub to you!

Its 2020- i binged watched about 20 episodes. Decided to get on that dayz launcher and play some Dayz. Considering everything seems so stale right now. it had been a few years. i Had one of the best times ive had gaming in a long time. This game will always be an amazing time with an amazing community

Oh boy, that part during the night with the crash site is so scary. When he started to get back to the car, I felt like something was about to happen, that something might be waiting for him, hiding in the darkness behind the lights of the beams! The music makes it so scary!

So far I think I met the worst of the worst even killd my former commander and chief because when he decided he was going to shoot a new spawn at NEA I thought he whent to far so I killd him and gave the new spawn his gear. that was officaly my first nice thing I did in DayZ
Lol I love when you leave some of the bandit snipers alive with the hero mentality that they'll learn their lesson,
when in reality all that they're probably thinking is "He ran out of ammo - He can't see us" and they hunt you down.

See this same sort of thing has happened to me. They were good enough to kill me once when I had bad gear. Before I respawned I told them. "I will find you and kill you, mark my words." They laughed and called me moron for threatening players who are obviously better than me. I told them. "I don't make threats. I make promises." Sure enough about an hour later they were all still there, about three of them now in full gillies sitting up in the bushes. I could barely make them out but the thing is when you see in black and white, camo doesn't work on you. The color does most of the work for Camo. Well none the less I sniped them all from behind a stone fence while they took pot shots at me. The last guy I flanked with an AK I found near where I was sniping. Lucky find. I flanked him and got close enough to spray and pray screaming in my mic the whole time "I TOLD YOU I ONLY MADE PROMISES!"

if you listen closely at 1:29 you can hear the car door open and shut which is an audio cue for someone entering/exiting a car.

Frankie has the most insane senses in this game, the man has the eyes of a hawk and the ears of a fox…… very jealous
Day Z Rogue Snipers are such cowards. I don't have a problem with someone HAVING a sniper rifle, and using it to ward off other snipers, but just having a sniper rifle and shooting everyone you see it such a cowardly move.
I honestly can't play at night (only have standalone). The flashlight just doesn't cover enough area (in real life they would cover a lot more), so it's basically impossible to play when you're trying to get to a destination
The standalone needs work. Hopefully they increase the beam strength and width of flashlights (among other things *cough* combat *cough).
On the standalone just turn the gamma up to full you can see really well without a light. Also, lights gets you killed. It's like a 'please shoot me' beacon.

***** No. There isn't much features in the standalone right now, other than basic food, meds, clothing, and a few guns (mosin, fv pistol, m4)... even zombies are rare.

My theory for the few zombies is that since there is no silenced weapon, you cannot kill them effectively without going loud (melee combat is very buggy), so by reducing the zombies, they've reduced the chance of having a horde come at you when you shoot the zombie to prevent blood loss.
