Dentistman i dont trust your name after what happened to Cecil.... All jokes aside, i feel the exact same way! I LOVE Lion King, so I used to watch it every day since I was 5. Literally every day. And I guess because of that movie, I had a very bad feelings towards hyenas. But Kevin helped me change that perspective with these videos :D
+Dentistman You shouldn't hate any animal. In all seriousness there are only 2 things on the planets that always remain innocent. 1) Babies 2) And any animal from the second they are born until the minute they take their last breath. Ignorance breeds hate. You are far more intelligent then that.
I love hyenas. They really deserve more credit and respect than they get. The preview of "The Lion Guard" came out about a week ago and I'm really upset to see hyenas are once again portrayed as villains but what worries me the most is The Lion Guard is aimed at small children, meaning our attempts to give hyenas the better image they deserve could be squashed again. Thank you Kevin for posting these fantastic videos on hyenas AND lions and helping people understand more about them. :)
I think you'll be happy to know that the hyenas in the Lion guard did start out as villains but through a hyena love interest that was on the Lion guard's side and Scar double crossing the hyena's they do end up losing their title as a villain and showed that their time as a villain was not due to an innate evilness but rather being manipulated and after a certain point, habit/lack of knowledge.
I remember you on a show on Animal Planet called "Growing Up hyena" and ever since I see these beautiful creature in a new light. Bongo, Tika, and even your fav. Gina are still alive after all these years.
Hyenas rock! They are amazing creatures. I didn't know they were born so ready for the world! I knew about the sibling rivalry, especially after your video that introduced Young Nicholas. He such a cute little guy! Thanks for more fascinating information about spotted hyenas. Could you talk about the different types of hyenas and how they are differ from one another? Take care!
Thank you Kevin for the care you give these most important animals! You have become part of the puzzle that can keep the world healthy!! Take care and God bless you and your family, including the ones with four legs!!!
Really have fallen in love with the hyenas. So fascinating and funny. Maybe your next film project should be a story about hyenas. Counter balance all the Lion King-ing the world has experienced.
Nicholas is adorable, I read that they are related to neither dogs nor cats, but Nicholas is very affectionate like a dig. Very sweet animal, bless you for rescuing him
You show that even the most instinctual killers of nature are able to be so kind. We all are living and are able to live together. With very much respect due on all parts. You are inspirational
Everybody please do Kevin and his lions a huge favor and don't skip the commercials because if you do you aren't supporting his incredible work and that goes for even when you hit the 'skip' button.. I've specifically googled this for this specific page.. It's just a few seconds of your time...
Hussain Pradhan That's funny, I was just thinking about Gambit on my home today. I was thinking that it's be nice to know if Gambit is still around. :)
Congratulations!🙌👏👌 This is only the beginning. I hope that more people get interested in your videos and as a result, more respect for the animals. And if things go well, a lots of animal would be safe. I really admire you and your team for the hardworking that you put into preserving the wild animals and also the huge love that you give to them. I do apologize if my English it's maybe a little bit bad,I'm also trying my best. Greetings from Mexico 😄👋
I love these guys! I had the unique opportunity to work with two baby hyenas on a game reserve, after humans intervened when the dominant baby tried to kill the other. But to see the siblings play together later was glorious sight to behold. I cannot describe how much respect I gained for this misunderstood species over my short time with them. Can't wait to volunteer at the Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary next month!
Man i love watching these videos and to see you reached 100,000 subscribers and knowing more people are getting the messages you bring to the world about these creatures makes so me happy! So great job reaching 100,000 subscribers! And can we get some playtime with the animals 😄
It's nice to see how big your channel has grown since I have been busy and not seen any videos sadly since you had around 28k subs nice to see all the support and the number 100k subscribers :D
+Kenny Ratzlaff They really are! They've got a stereotype for not being very nice and that's so far from the truth! Hyenas rule! (LionWhispererTV Team)
Well they are predators and can be ruthless. I appreciate what you guys do with these animals, but I believe it is not natural for them to act like they do in these videos. They are predators through and through. BTW, I love Hyenas!!
Hey Kevin i really liked those those Lion IQ videos wish to see more and i love it how you explain everything about your animals behaviour, respect! keep the good work up! :)
+sherif sheryo We're glad you liked those videos, we'll keep that in mind!! Have you learnt anything new about lions since watching our videos? (LionWhispererTV Team)
and how they cooperate, animal behaviour is really amazing to watch and i'm looking forward to more of these videos, it teaches us a lot about these animals and specially how the scientists and Kevin analyse their behaviour and compare it to other lions to the wild and i us surprised by many of their tactics, i've watched the over and over again, for example the mirror Test with Male lions compared to female lions, didn't know Lions are that smart to be honest! great job guys!!!
I love hyena's. I talk about many animals that are misunderstood like wolves, coyotes, bears and sharks. It's surprising to me how people can have such strong negative opinions about an animal they really know close to nothing about to begin with. Whenever I show people video's of you interacting with cuddling and talking about hyena's they are so surprised and even if it's just a little bit, their opinions do change. You are amazing for that, it's so hard to do, I aim to change peoples negative opinions about animals and nature with my art like you do with your talks and interactions.
I love Hyenas, thanks to Kevin making me aware of the truth about them. I'm totally hooked on Hyenas now. I think they are the one of the most interesting & amazing species.
When you first started be around these wild animals were you ever afraid? How long did it take for the animals to get use to you? Have they always been friendly with you?
Technically his lions and hyena are not wild. They have all been born and raised in captivity. He would never approach a wild lion. Good question. I hope he answers you 😄
+Sarah Zuniga i've heard that he usually raises them from birth in an animal conservation area. Raising them from birth is what forms that bond. He treats them like his kids which is recognized by the animal.
Hello Mr. Kevin Richardson, my name is Julian Rodriquez and I just want to share with you that I'm truly amazed on how you became the Lion Whisperer and I was wondering if you could teach me or at least leave tips on how to achieve what you've become, because I've always had a passionate interest in carnivorous animals and I think that your job is the best one to have.
Love this hyena info. Thanks to the educational element I'm enriched. Often think of Oslo & chum and hope the world has been kind to them and their naughtiness forgiven Geena wears it well. :)
I never liked hyena's until I saw you with them, now I understand their place in the world and think it would be a great loss with out them thanks for opening my eyes.
I've been watching a lot of random videos with you in it Kev on other channels. My favourite one was the IQ Games, lol didn't know you had you're own channel until i heard you say in one of your vids to subscribe ha! I like what you do with Hyenas,
*_Darn Kevin, now i like Hyena's too. I have not shot a bobcat since i start watching channels like this. I even find it hard to hunt coyote so only when they move in & settle on our property, making it home, then i hunt them. So that will be anything from just a dozen to a couple or 3 dozen & il get them all in maybe 10 days. I wont see many more until the following spring when we go thru this again. This 360 acres of wood's owned by me is surrounded by three times that with other owners who dont hunt their land much either so with lots of food & water sources this is Heaven for them. I have my horses & livestock fenced off from the woods on about 1.5 acres of pasture that i "made" myself centered on my property. This year i'l not hunt the coyotes because my fencing is finished so besides hunting a couple in spring & summer, then a few later in the year so we can have multiple types of meat in the freezer, but other than that i want to see how many we have next year with nobody hunting them. Will they drive all dear out? Will the bobcat who comes here to the same den each year [3 yrs so far] be able to hunt with so many coyote? IDK, maybe they will move off once the winter comes. We shall see._*
Do you ever interact with lions while you still smell of hyena or the other way around? Do the animals react differently to you? Long time fan and wish you all the best with the park and the animals!
You are one of our most respected humans in the galaxy Kevin👽 Hi to Mandy🐾and the kids Hey some moron posted a video saying youre not alive? You look well and as handsome as the king of the jungle Big hugs🐥 🐯ron🇨🇦 We will be sending some cute kitten photos of our mini bengal tiger for the kids
Interesting, I learn more from this channel than I do from all the nature documentries put together.
To think that i used to hate hyenas, these animals got my respect
Yes, Ikr!!

Absolutely love these facts!!! Kevin Richardson should have his own channel for hyenas and we should give him a nickname for him on that channel
I saw this guy years ago on growing up baby: hyena. I feel in love with the species after that episode.
New sub! Loving all your animals! I always feel in touch closely to them even if it's through a screen.
So fascinating! Loved this video. Looking forward to watching and learning more about these magnificent creatures.
