Gerber Armbar Drive Multitool Review | FAIL | I wanted to love this!

Let's review my thoughts on the Gerber Armbar Drive. I REALLY, wanted to love this tool. I could see soo much potential to created the ultimate Multitool - but unfortunately that award does not go tot he Gerber Armbar Drive. See what my thoughts are and how much I really wanted to this tool to take the crown.

Hey mate. You don't need to tear the Leatherman apart to make your own single handle multitool. Look up the Swisstech 11-in-1, Rocktol Multitool Pocket Knife 12-in-1, or Mossy Oak 12 in 1 multi tool. Cheers.

This crossed my radar too but I didn't buy one as here in Pommieland I can't EDC locking blades, had the blade been non-locking, and the driver locking, I may well have bought it. Looking at how poor the scissors are I'm glad I didn't. I'm pretty discerning with scissors and really only Victorinox cut the mustard, Leatherman certainly doesn't judging by my LM Squirt scissors which were crap even before the spring broke.
The nearest I found to a one and done multitool is the Swisschamp but really I like the option of a good bit driver and strong pliers, so mostly I carry a Vic with scissors, plus a Knipex Cobra pliers, and a Wera bit driver, the 813 which is smaller than a Bic lighter and good quality.

You cant go wrong with with a swiss army knife - their scissors are the benchmark. 💪🏼👌🏼
