@@paul1089 i moved to Toowoomba in 2004 and the first time i saw 106, she ws in pieces i remember they had to wait years to get the funding to get the boiler x-rayed and then to do repairs to it, i cried when i watched this video, thank you so much, Paul
Great video as always! It's amazing to see 106 back on the main line after all these years. I spent many of countless days throughout my childhood out at Drayton, 'helping', although I was only 7-11 years old, so this is really good to see. I have since moved interstate but I always pop back in when ever I am in town and the progress has been amazing. Very glad to see this.
oh Paul, you know how long it has taken to get to this point, it is so wonderful to see 106 running on the mainline once again
October 2001, when locomotive 106 was removed from storage at Redbank, to the present day. 21 years and 10 months.

I knew you were going to film this
I was there a week ago from the day and BB was still being put together and they were polishing C16 for its run
I wasn't going to miss this history making event.
Great footage. What a wonderful sight!
Glad you enjoyed it.
I spotted McDonalds billboard 20:43
What is the story on the green loco next to the c16 in the shed
That is BB18 ¼ 1037 ex Mackay Heritage Railway. It's now under DownsSteam ownership, and its long restoration is nearing completion.
@TheTrekMate Dependant on fire bans for the upcoming fire season.
Very nice looks for an old girl, no wrinkles.
Does bb18 1037 have a name
Not presently. Though once restored, they'll likely make a reference to the late Peter Ford and the Mackay Heritage Railway.
